Hotel Royal Gardens Lahore

Covid: Aside from 1 sanitizer at the entrance and 1 at the restaurant, Covid precaution did not exist at the hotel. The cleaners, whilst we were there did not have their mask covering their face. Not a single guest was asked to put on their mask. If the servers congregated some place they would all remove their masks. They had vidoes of how rooms are cleaned, sanitized, sealed. Luggage cleaned. Nothing. All of that did not exist. Mostly a lie. Cleanliness: There is no such thing as a non smoking room. We changed room because the first room reeked of smoke. When I asked if we can smoke here he said “sure, np” Then I asked for a non smoking room and he said even if it says non smoking, people smoke. This was an issue for me as I’m quite sensitive to the smell. In the other room the smell was also there but we had no choice but to stay. We found pee stains and hair on the toilet. Which was just ech!!! Terrible. Quality: The AC in our room broke twice. The Jaccuzi broke and flooded. Took them over an hour to come whilst I had told them we need to sleep. The TV remote only worked in a specific angle as they had put a cover on the TV which blocked the remote IR sensor. The King bed was tiny, hard. The pillows were the same. The roll away bed was practically concrete. The whole room was in a state of run down ness. This for a nearly new hotel was surprising. Honestly there was not one thing I liked. Food: Terrible. We tried breakfast, high tea and room service. Nothing remotely tasted good. For their “fresh fruit” at breakfast it was canned fruit (yes! I even confirmed it) Nearly everything was stale. The breakfast was almost the same each day and just as bad. Even the fresh omelette gave us oily and over cooked eggs. The pricing also made no sense. (High tea vs breakfast) SPA: Basic. Nothing great. Pricing was in line with the market but also the facilities and service. Not really something you would expect from a 4 star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for family. I would say if you are on your own and you need to stay next to the airport and have 0 other needs, then ok. Stay and go. Else, stay away.

Even after paid online they didn't allow us to stay in this hotel 😔
