Aeolian Gaea Hotel

we were moved here after 2 days at the god awful hotel pela . what a lovely hotel . George the owner is always friendly smiling and helpful . rooms were top notch . bathrooms and shower a little smaller than I'd like but clean beds were really comfortable and made the last 5 days of our holiday a much nicer stay . anyone looking for a quiet retreat that's comfy and welcoming should book here. the area ? Well. not for us . to quiet you need a car to do anything and even then there's not much to do . unless you like bird watching and walking miles . Nice little town a short walk away but got very samey in the end with limited choices of restaurants . but a friendly place and nice break after a very bad start

I stayed here for two weeks from 24th April. The hotel is ideally situated, with just a short walk into the centre, but also Skala Kalloni is perfect starting point to explore the rest of then island from. Everyone in this family run business are genuinely warm , welcoming. friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice and quality is amazing. The rooms are cleaned everyday, and the gardens/pool tended to, also daily. I shall certainly be staying here on my next visit to the Island.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with a balcony. Fridge, kettle cups and glasses and weirdly a toaster. No coffee, tea etc available in the room. Excellent breakfasts although a second coffee machine would ease the congestion trying to get hot drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Fee for a swimming pool towel - for use during your stay. Ideally located for birdwatching and getting to shops and tavernas in Skalla Kalloni. We enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly and welcoming hotel. Always greeted with a smiling face. Clean and tidy all around the hotel including the pool. Very spacious room with a lovely view. Plenty to eat at breakfast including home made local produce. Would definitely return.

Just returned from this fabulous hotel, We moved here from a hotel close by that was unacceptable.. we couldn't have been more delighted! Very spacious spotlessly clean rooms, huge balcony, and memory foam beds! The family that run and own the hotel couldn't do enough and were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and with plenty of choice. The pool area was gorgeous too, gardens kept meticulously tidy. From the cleaners to the gardener the staff were faultless. Niki at the bar is a gem. I miss Aries the dog already. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

Just returned from an amazing 10 nights here. As we were dropped off we were welcomed by the family owners, who did everything to make our stay as perfect as possible from the first moment to the last. Our room was really spacious split into a large double room for us with private balcony and then a living area with twin beds for our daughters (aged 4 and 10) with a separate balcony. Kitchen area with table and chairs and modern bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Quiet pool area with loads of beds, chairs and table areas with a mix of shade and sun to suit. Lovely pool bar serving drinks and snacks (Nikki was fabulous!). The homemade tzatziki is the nicest we’ve ever had anywhere! Breakfast is incredible with an extensive choice of hot and cold items, most of which is locally sourced including honey, jams, olives, tomatoes all grown at the hotel. A short walk down to the harbour village where there are a good selection of tavernas. We loved Sampo for food and Vista for drinks - again both family owned and amazing service. Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet break, great food, amazing service, beautiful surroundings then look no further. Just don’t tell too many people - we want to make sure it’s not booked up when we go back!

Recently returned from a fabulous 4 week stay at the Aeolian Gaea. The studio was really spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast with both hot and cold options, and the homemade marmalade was absolutely delicious! The pool area was extremely peaceful and there were always plenty of sun beds and shade available if required. The pool was really refreshing, and a super size for swimming. We had a really great stay and the friendly owners made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. I would recommend this hotel and lovely Skala Kalloni without hesitation. Thanks for a lovely holiday, and a quick shout out for the fabulous puppet show! 😁

We visited this hotel in late September. As it was towards the end of the season it was very quiet which we loved. The pool was so peaceful and we felt so relaxed, with plenty of sun beds. The pool was not heated but the weather was very hot and it was great to go into the water to cool down. We loved the bar by the pool but they only served toasted sandwiches from the menu at lunch as there were not enough guests at the hotel to offer the usual menu. This was not a problem for us. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and this kept us going until late afternoon. The rooms were large with plenty of space. There was a fridge in the room which was great to store drinks, which we enjoyed ,when sitting out on the balcony late at night after returning from the village. It was a 10 min walk to the centre where we had our meals every evening. Skala Kallonis is a small village based around a square and we found plenty of restaurants. Our favorites were Caprice Kitchen and Dionosys. During the day they offer the use of sun beds on the beach free of charge for customers. We would certainly return as it is a small family run hotel. The owners were very friendly and were always there to help in any way.

Lovely, quiet, friendly hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Cleaned daily and everywhere in the hotel spotless. Great choice of breakfasts, delicious Greek yoghurt and selection of meats, cheeses, olives, fresh figs as well as cooked breakfast being available. The pool area was so peaceful and the pool itself lovely. Just a short walk to the village and beach where there were plenty of very good tavernas to choose from. Can’t wait to return next year!
