Apollon Palace

My experience wasn't pleasant some amenities needs necessarily to be replaced. Even though we made a compaint nothing changed.In addition, breakfast was unacceptable, for sure, not value for money. I have attached some photos below.

The service from the sisters was brilliant, they couldn’t do more for us and made our stay lovely. Breakfast was good and rooms clean. You need to rent a car to get around but this would be the case wherever you stayed in Kefolonia, as it’s an island to explore! Hotel was 10 mins from airport, 15 mins from Lassi, 15 mins from Argostoli and so it was perfect. If we wanted to go into town to drink we got a taxi (€20 per way). Georgia was really friendly in the evening and ensured we were looked after. Sad to see people moan about the location, those people probably didn’t research before and realise you need to hire a car. We explored the whole island and had the best time doing it. Room was fine , hotel nice and clean, breakfast and food cooked nice.small pool , near a busy road and it could annoy some people but it never bothered us.stavroula and her sister christina kept everything spotless, they could not do enough for everyone.they made our holiday enjoyable .the biggest problem is that it is stuck out with nothing around it, unless you like walking, I don’t .good tavernas to far to walk and the taxis is a minimum of €20 , no competition.

Apollon was not my first choice for this trip. That hotel, however, was not finished in time, so I was asked whether this would do instead.  The place isn’t really suitable for solo travellers. If you’re retired or are a young family, it’s perfect for both. In detail: The location is a bit awkward. It’s some way outside Lixouri, which is itself a bit of a challenge to reach from the rest of the island. There is a bus service of sorts, but it’s very sp****. I wouldn’t recommend walking along the narrow road, so that leaves the option of taking taxis or hiring a car or moped. Reception: courteous, efficient, well informed. Due to a delayed flight, I arrived way too late for dinner - so a snack had been placed in my room. That really is service. Accommodation: Also very nice - spacious and well appointed. There were a couple of things that required attention my first day, but they were taken care of within an hour of my reporting them. My cleaner did an excellent job, as did the laundry service. Amenities:  The pool areas are large and well equipped. If the weather's nice though, be sure to get there early - the loungers go very fast! Food and drink: You won’t starve or go thirsty here! There are 2 bars, 2 snack bars, 2 a la carte restaurants, and the main restaurant, La Primavera, where meals are served as a buffet, but with servers on patrol to clear the tables and make sure you have something to drink. The servers there work very hard indeed. Most of them are also friendly, helpful, and attentive. The same was true of the bar staff at the Apollo, Asterias, and Delice bars. Not Medeo though.  That apart, this was a generally positive experience, If you’re travelling alone, however, you might be better advised to find somewhere more central in Lixouri or even Argostoli.

A hotel in the middle of nowhere. You need transportation for everything you do. Hotel including pool is located at a noisy road. Hotel past its prime. Bad beds. Extra beds in the family room are metal boards with a pillow. A lot of things broken or dirty - not cleaned. Very friendly staff that do their best!!

what a lovely gem of a place! the people were so friendly and accommodating the room was to a great standard. our room and balcony overlooking the pool. Continental breakfast was ample with good selection - and coffee always served with a smile.

Hotel vicino all'aereoporto, carino, piscina piccola ma ben inserita nel contrsto, staff molto gentile e cortese. Stanza piccola per 3, cuscini non molto comodi,mia figlia ha dovuto dormire su un divano letto con un materasso alto 5 cm per questo ne ho dovuto chiedere uno diverso ma hanno aggiunto uno come quello che già c'era molto scomodo. Bagno piccolo,senza bidet, in doccia solo un piccolo doccino, rubinetti pieni di calcare. La colazione da dimenticare,solo pane confezionato,alcune cose salate,come dolce solo un ciambellone molto secco.

Όμορφες διακοπές στην Κεφαλονια. Τρομερή φιλοξενία, δροσερά κοκτέιλ και τέλεια Καλοκαιρινή ατμόσφαιρα στην Πισίνα. Φιλικό προσωπικό, το πρωινό ήταν πολύ καλό, καθαρό δωμάτιο. Θα ξανάρθουμε σίγουρα !!!

Τέλειο με φοβερή εξυπηρέτηση ! Τα δωμάτια άνετα και βολικά , το προσωπικό πολύ εξυπηρετικό και ευγενικό και το βράδυ το μπαρ δίπλα στην πισίνα είναι υπέροχο και με πολύ μεγάλη και καλή ποικιλία ποτών για να διαλέξεις!
