"The location was perfect for us splitting our journey the lady in reception was very helpful. The only criticism is the shower only had the'rainfall' option, no handheld device, not so good of you don't want to get hair wet. Every thing else was great."

"I was greeted as a returning customer but hadn’t been there for 17years  The staff were very friendly and helpful and polite  The service I received was excellent and the food was excellent that I received  The first room I stayed in was a little bit tired but as it’s a single bed room it was more than acceptable  The second night was a different room as I extended my stay and was a superior single and was more in price but I found it to be excellent  A great hotel with great staff and would recommend a stay if you’re passing through Lockerbie or need a hotel base in the area"

"My trip , was disrupted before we even arrived at the hotel, we contacted Alison at the Village In to advise her we would be much later than expected and have to leave earlier than expected the next day. She was extremely accommodating and whent out of her way to assist and provide a very pleasant stay. I would definitely return next time I'm in the area."

Всю выходную была фантастическая, сотрудники (в том числе Глен) очень милые и еда вкусная. Не мог бы пойти на завтрак ..... Зерно, йогурт, свежие фрукты, печенье и приготовленный завтрак тоже. Конечно, снова останется."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. Gorgeous surroundings. The staff were all lovely but they could do with more. Sometimes we couldn’t find them as they had multiple jobs. The food was lovely, as was the breakfast. Lovely croissants! All rooms had lovely high ceilings and the rooms were lovely. My only criticism was the bathroom - very dated and needs attention. Thanks for the laughs and for making us feel so welcome."

"Checked out this morning after a great one night stay. Guests are actively encouraged to enjoy the various seating areas both inside and out. On arrival, we were invited to have a pot of tea in the sunny courtyard. Later we had a thoughtfully prepared evening meal in the lovely dining area. We booked this a week earlier after Morag had emailed to ask our preferences. Breakfast was of equal quality as well being generous. I loved the table settings the art work and the home made bread! The room had good quality bed linen, towels, body wash and coffee tray. Very quiet for sleeping and in a well kept, friendly village. ❤️"
