Room had a great shower and all the vital items for a decent stay. The gym was not a gym. It’s way too small and has barely any equipment. Would suggest investing in more space and items! The restaurant had a very limited menu so I ordered Uber eats both nights I was there.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Would come again. Great free mini bar! Nice, helpful reception staff. Better / brighter lighting option in room and somewhere easier and more convenient to plug in the kettle would be good.

This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I am forced to stay here for business every month and it is always the same. The bedding has giant blood stains and hairs when you pull back the sheets. The pillows are square and flat and not meant to be ergonomic for sleeping. The carpet has mystery stains on it that could be any sort of bodily fluid. The drains in the bathroom don’t drain and you are left with a sink and tub full of water. This last visit, I had dry cleaning dropped off for 4 days and never got it back. Stay far away from this hotel.

The location is great, about 10 min walk from the train station. The hotel room is clean and comfortable. However, the front desk is not very nice.

We came to the hotel as part of our wedding anniversary trip and the staff went the extra mile to make us feel special! Great location, a quiet hotel just a short walk from the city centre. I really liked the big spa in the vaults - huge sauna, nice little plunge pool, steam room.. and I had it all to myself! What a bliss. The staff was very friendly and nice, especially the girls at the reception. I read some reviews where people did not appreciate the not so fresh decor in the rooms - well, the room was clean, served its purpose :) We did not come to the hotel to admire the furnishings but the city :) We did not try the restaurant as we loved taking walks through the city centre in the evenins. We also like authentic local cuisine (Eisgrub-Brau was a great find). We always have a good stay at Novotel hotels and I am looking forward to our next visit.

Room was very comfortable. Air conditioner was not cooling enough. Beds were very comfortable too. Very centric to a lot of great dining places.

I came with my football team on a pre-season tour, and we really enjoyed our stay at Novotel Mainz. The staff made our stay so enjoyable and the team felt really welcomed. Of particular enjoyment were the facilities; the sauna and the plunge pool were popular among the players, especially after the games and helped soothe sore muscles! Special thanks go to Frank, Abdel, Helene and Aida, who did a wonderful job looking after our needs and who were especially patient with our younger team members in the small hours...! And also Emily at breakfast who made sure we had everything we wanted. If we ever do return to Mainz, I'm sure we'll be staying here again!

Our family of four stayed just one night in this hotel before continuing our holiday, travelling through Germany. We found it very comfortable sharing a room together and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with great choices. We all enjoyed a swim in the pool before continuing our journey. Great service and friendly staff.
