This place is honestly not great. We are visiting Belgium from South Africa, with 3 teenagers, in July. Maybe that contains 2 caveats: we are really spoilt by the holiday resorts, spaces, amenities and service in our home country, and we have 3 teenagers (2 boys and a girl) that need satisfying. And that’s not going to happen with mini golf, a very small, indoor water park, and slow food service. The chalet is incredibly basic. It’s understandably self-catering but we were not even given toilet paper. We were each given a plastic wrapped, threadbare towel and hand towel, but there is not even hand soap in the bathroom or dish soap to wash the dishes. Breakfast is only served from 8-10am, which is a challenge for teenagers on holiday. The food was finished quickly and took a while to replenish. And the service at the only restaurant open for lunch is painfully slow! The 6 beds are reasonably comfortable, with a duvet and one pillow each. But the room was obviously cleaned minutes before we were allowed to check in at 3pm, because the floor looked like buckets of water had been thrown across it or there had been a flooding incident to clean up. As a result, we had no option but to muddy the floors with our shoes and luggage, as there is not even a doormat and the unit is surrounded by sand / thin grass. So we started with dirty floors :( The linen from the previous visitors was left outside our unit (for collection?) for our entire 2 night stay. The signage is also awful! This place is a maze of units and one way roads (all the same direction)! We drove past our unit 3 times trying to get out! The only exit signage is just as you have found your way. Also, one is not allowed to park outside your unit. Which means long walks to/from car park. In winter or rainy weather, this is not great. Many disobey and park outside though. And the WiFi doesn’t reach the room. We thankfully logged into Centreparcs WiFi next door, but that would come & go.
