Jungle Lore Birding Lodge

The resort is facing the valley witch has dense forest and attracts the most amazing himalayan birds. The birding points built within the resort is no miss for bird enthusiasts. There are lovely treks around the resort which add onto the attraction of the location The staff is very cordial and go out of the way to make the stay comfortable. Mind you the staff are also very knowledgeable on the local flora and fauna of the place.

Great place for birdlovers! Some nice birdhides on the premesis that attract wonderful birds! Also great birdingspots in the neighbourhood. Tastful food in the cosy restaurant. Bhuwan Chandra is a very gentle and friendly host. Very poitive vibrations too!

Jungle Lore is a second home for all traveller, because in resort we are getting all those thing this one we are getting in home. The staff treat you like a family members. The dining experience at the resort was exceptional. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Each meal was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and a good balance of flavours. Overall, our experience at the resort was delightful, thanks to the excellent staff, delicious food, and outstanding hospitality. We would definitely recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

A very special place. We were happy our days there. I am a yoga teacher and it seems like a perfect place to meditate and feel the great energy of that place, of the people who run it and created it. Bhuwan, who welcomed us wholeheartedly, is a great soul. Thank you thank you thank you... Namaste

We were treated as real guests with very friendly and helpfull staff and manager. Delicious food, great accommodation (although some of the rooms are chilly, but hey, we're at the foothills of the Himalaya!), fantastic location with a garden full of birds. If there is one place I can recommend you: this is the one!

This was far beyond our expectations with regards to bird watching and enjoying the scenic beauty. The resort has excellent location and surrounded by forest full of birds. There are so many birds within the premises. We spotted nearly 40 birds in the resort itself including khaleez pheasant, laughing thrush, red billed magpie, gross beak, maroon oriole, whistling blue bird etc. The staff are very good. The food is excellent. Jagjivan Dhami helped us in many things apart from help us spot birds. The resort arranged an excellent bird guide Mr Puran Joshi who took us for bird watching tour outside Pangot. Jagjivan explained that the resort lays lots of emphasis on reducing carbon foot prints and retaining the biodiversity. We appreciated that. You must have your own vehicle or ask the resort to arrange for it. My family truly enjoyed every moment. Cheer cottage is the best. I would strongly recommend it to bird watching enthusiasts.

One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The surrounding areas are just stunning, and the accommodation is fantastic too. We had a large balcony area with views of the surrounding mountains. The communal eating area is just amazing as well. The food is made fresh each day and we absolutely loved it! It was some of the best food we had in India! Everyone working there is exceptionally kind and welcoming - we felt right at home the second we arrived. We were truly sad to leave here and would 100% recommend to anyone who loves nature and a more homely/rustic vibe when travelling. We really do hope to visit again one day! Jungle Lore is a throwback to an earlier era and all the better for that. It is in a stunning location marred only by the new developments nearby. The gardens were alive with birdlife and one could spend hours watching birds in the garden before venturing out to the hills around. The Lodge felt like a comfortable armchair where you could sit down and while away time. The dining area with the log fire and the electric blankets were especially welcome on cold nights. Food was good quality, local dishes and we never went hungry, just the opposite. Everyone made us welcome.

We stayed at jungle lore birding lodge for 1 night and I loved everything about this place,staff super friendly and helpful, spacious and clean rooms, delicious food, the view from the balcony was so mesmerizing I would love to visit that place again Highly recommended
