This is a place you want to stay in, if you like intimate, quiet places and love waking up to scenic views. The location is beautiful, and it is easy to access the rest of the spots like the Punakha fortress, Wangdue fortress, etc. You must try your hands at Bhutanese cooking. Dawa, the chef, is a master and she effortlessly guides you to some simple yet delicious bhutanese dishes. My favourite was preparing the banana flower cheese (veg) prep. The staff sets a warm and friendly tone, with Kezang (manager) ready to address any issue, Dawa preparing comfort- home cooked meals and Jimmy setting up the place with care. The rooms are spacious, with a lovely and generous balcony. The bathroom is fitted with modern hardware and has hot water. Do explore the area over a stroll around the windmills, or simply sit in the balcony for hours watching the paddy fields below and the hills in front. Tip: Carry mosquito repellant cream/spray. The rooms have the plugged in vaporisers but they aren't effective against the very adamant insects vying for some new blood! Carry your own toiletries, and a pair of slippers.
