"The room was tight with space and the shower room the size of a closet. The wash basin was cracked. Where the manager was very charming and helpful her staff left much to be desired. Their body language left one with the impression that they were tired of tourists invading their space; indifferent and could not look at you in the eye. Table service was very poor showing a lack of training and experience. We were seated at a table but not given any menus. After waiting a quarter of an hour we noticed other couples arriving were seated and given menus immediately. At that point I got up and asked a member of staff for a menu. Having supplied our order we were kept waiting half an hour before the first course arrived while other customers who had arrived after us were served before us. Our dinner took us two and a half hours! On departure, after two nights, we were checked out by one of the assistants who was very curt, could not look at me in the eye and could not bring herself to wish us a pleasant journey! Cannot recommend this hotel"

"Мы сидели на первом этаже здания "головы" и там были 2 отдельных комнаты. Мёбель очень старый, и комнаты сделали пыль и не совсем чистое впечатление. 1 из комнат не имел занавески. Бедденгоед был старым (немного ношенных озер) и муффи. Завтрак был очень дружелюбным и полезным. Завтрак не предлагает много, (нет свежего) хлеба с только чашкой джема, йогурта и яблочного сока. мешки чая также выглядели очень старыми. Окружающая среда красивая, обширный сад и близлежащий город с несколькими ресторанами."

"What a fabulous find this was! We were looking for an overnight stopping place on our return to the UK and are so pleased we found Domaine de Prestal. It’s a wonderful, tranquil location surrounded by lovely countryside. The room was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. Nicholas is a great host and makes very good cocktails! A hearty breakfast before our departure set us up very nicely for the final stage of our journey. So much better than the just-off-the-motorway chain hotels we normally stay at. We shall return and have no hesitation in recommending this fine establishment."

"Very beautiful facade but that's it! We're going to start with the mold in the bathroom, the tiles that are coming off, we're afraid that it will slip when we take a bath. The soundproofing is simply catastrophic, we sleep with the neighbors, the simple phone call we can hear the conversation, the doors slamming at 7 a.m. which wakes everyone up. The bedroom entrance door does not close properly and the door closer does not hold but it slams. The price of a simple chocolate and espresso is €10, so even if there is a gourmet restaurant I don't think that a simple chocolate and coffee is as gourmet! Bad experience for a romantic weekend."

The host is the perfect definition of genial - kind, courteous and generous. The food is wonderful. I cannot recommend this beautiful retreat too much. Wish we had booked for longer!"
