Baglioni Masseria Muzza

We were lucky enough to stay here for one week just as they opened this month for the season . We were given an upgraded suite and we were very warmly welcomed. The masseria is in lovely countryside but just 10 minutes drive into the old town of Otranto which has lots of small shops and great restaurants and gelateria.There is a shuttle service in to town with the lovely drivers Giuseppe and David . There was a great selection at the buffet breakfast less choice for dinner but also delicious. The staff were all delightful but special mention to Valentina, Stefano and Alberta

We have just checked out of this hotel after 4 wonderful nights. We were given a free upgrade to a deluxe suite, which was a real treat. The room was spacious and stylish, everything cream and white. We were placed next door to our friends that we were meeting there. Everyone at the hotel is super helpful and friendly. From the housekeepers who kept the room spotless to the reception team who were so helpful with recommendations and bookings. The restaurant and bar team were also exceptional. Nothing was too much to ask. Wine recommendations and cocktails all spot on. Sorry to be leaving and will definitely look to revisit next year. Thank you all for making our stay so special.

From the moment of arrival, we were warmly greeted and shown to a spacious room. We headed to the hotel outdoor bar area for lovely views of the sunset followed by dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We were greeted at breakfast by Ivana who volunteered to assist us with any arrangements for sightseeing during our stay. She recommended and helped us book a wonderful beach club about 50 minutes south of the hotel, Cinque Vela. When we arrived the beach club upgraded us to a beautiful gazebo with butler and food service as Ivana called ahead and ask that they take good care of us. She also arranged shuttles into town as needed. Thanks Mauricio for the rides. We spent several afternoons at the pool which is beautifully designed and meticulously maintained. They provided buckets of iced water as well. We even canceled some off property meals and stayed on the resort as the food was reliably good and service top notch. The breakfast has cook to order options as well as a large variety of fruits, breads, cakes, yogurt and cereal. The omelettes were the best we’ve had at a resort. The fresh fish options for dinner as well as the pasta were excellent. The most amazing thing about this resort is that every single employee was friendly, engaging and fun to talk to. Thanks to Luigi for his special care, food suggestions and delicious surprise desserts like crepes Suzette. Thanks to Roberto for his wine suggestions and attention to helping with our food selection and service. Thanks to Ivana and the entire guest relations team for all their attention and suggestions. Thanks to Adriana, Marta, Amber, Francesco and all the wait and kitchen staff who took our orders and delivered our meals. The spa staff were great as well and we had the best massages. I’m sorry I couldn’t remember everyone’s names but a big thanks to all. This is a resort that is truly five star and one we look forward to returning to again.

We stayed and extended our stay in Baglioni Masseria Muzza. A more boutique experience with just 40 rooms makes for individual care and attention. The pool overlooks a Neolithic lake and the Puglia countryside …. Utterly sublime. Reception and guest relations staff probably the best we have experienced … anywhere in Europe. Spa was satisfactory. Gym lacking in free weights and current equipment. Excellent base for road cycling . A 7-8 minute shuttle ride ( no extra charge ) into nearby Otranto provides access to 100’s of restaurants and important historical sites. A classy and well located hotel.

Awesome service, super clean rooms, a great experience and we will certainly return. Highly recommend. The pool Area is a great space and the bar Is right there. They provide a shuttle Service into town which is convenient.

A lovely base when you are in Salento. Rooms are nice and well appointed. Pool area is lovely. What we like: lovely welcome, rooms are spacious and clean, stafff are friendly, the whole property is beautifully designed, beaches in this area are one of the best in Puglia, food we had for dinner was fresh and tasty. Maurizio did a good job bringing and picking us up from the beach.The downsides: attention to detail for turn down and time management for shuttle to Otranto town is not punctual, for a 5 star hotel it does not meet the standard and price. We think that this property has more potential if the small details can be improved. After all its the small things that makes the difference.

We had a wonderful stay here.... The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and professional. The rooms were large and bright, reflecting The Masseria style. The quality and range of the food was outstanding.Roberto the head waiter gave us some great ideas for wines, of which he was very proud! All the staff were very proud to be in Puglia and were very knowledgable about places to visit and food. A beautiful place to be… in clam and quiet.

A wonderful hotel, staffed by warm and welcoming people. Location is perfect: near Otranto (and not far from Lecce), with a beautiful panoramic view to the west with sunsets that are extraordinary. Traveled with another couple in early October for three nights, and had an amazing time-- rooms are large and gracious (we had a "sunset view" room, which I'd recommend), breakfast and dinner setting is tranquil and picture-postcard worthy; special shout-out to the bartender Marta and the Hotel Manager Virginia-- every need was anticipated, whatever tiny hiccups were encountered were addressed immediately. Much to see in the area-- the town of Otranto is great, had two spectacular meals at Altro Baffo and il Diavollichio Goloso, both among the best meals I've had anywhere. Lecce is filled with history (and more great food!), and Masseria Muzza is a great base for exploring the southern parts of the region. I'd recommend it for anyone traveling in Puglia, especially friends/couples.

We had the most beautiful stay at this magnificient hotel. So peaceful and such a generous and welcoming staff. The pool and grounds are beautiful as was our room which we were so happy had been upgraded before our arrival. What a gem of a place that we will never forget!
