Juliantos by the Sea

Best location within the Island if you look for sleeping quite and stay on the coast. You can also snorkle in.front of the hotel and it's plenty of restaurants and bycicles' rent around. Breakfast is all right.

The stand out features of this place are the location and staff. But I really enjoyed the snorkelling straight off the beach out the front. The gentle current takes you down over amazing coral gardens. Turtles and colourful fish abound. I went for a week and stayed 3 weeks. Loved swimming in the pool. Sam does a great breakfast too.

We had the chance to stay early in the reopening of Juliantos by the Sea. Great atmosphere, staff, position… Sunrise clear view - beautiful and great seawater pool - floating in the water. On beach front. Loved staff, pool and great WIFI. We will be back soon.

We stayed there last week for 8 nights. Just two of us and the bungalow room we were in had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, quiet and effective AC, plenty of room to put cases, a quiet fridge, a desk at the window and a mainly outdoor bathroom. Hot freshwater showers and a private veranda with a view of the beach and TJ’s Bar with comfy cane chairs and table, ideal for our GnT’s and reading. Our décor was simply shabby chic and everything was kept spotless. There are also a few villas and a couple of larger family ones for families and they look fantastic. We saw them connecting brand new WiFi and its fast, much faster than my Telcomsel hotspot. It also works on the beach. The property is located on the sunrise beach side, amazing sunrises over Lombok, it is large and unlike most of the others, it is well planned and not jammed together. Not so many guests or rooms. The centrepiece, just 10 metres outside is the fresh sea water pool. Pumped in from the sea daily and crystal clear, with no chemicals. I have never been in a seawater pool and was happy with the extra buoyancy. Just five meters away TJ’s bar facing the sea and watch the beach and boats. Some renovations are taking place in the villas but not much noise and they finish at 5pm and don’t start until after 8am. Should be finished by September if not earlier. Breakfast was cooked exactly as we asked and was plenty of it, so we asked them to keep the fruit in their fridge for our lunch. No problem and we were happy to stay around and relax. The Bintang was chilled the wine good and plenty of company from passers-by. Great staff, they helped us in many ways, like ordering in for us from other places. They seemed ok with that. I think they wanted to do more for us but that’s not our style. Bottom line….. it will be our ninth stay on Gili Air when we come back to Juliantos by the Sea in August. We feel this is the best place for us and are looking forward to it.

Great place, excellent location, view, nice garden and very nice staff! The massage was perfect. Breakfast was delicious. The booking was made directly. We were looking for the most beautiful part of the beach. The room had a fridge, bottled water, coffee and tea. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Absolutely perfect.! The rustic feel of juliantos and the amazing staff and tj’s bar made our stay just perfect! ( amazing barman who went above and beyond for the whole family). We were all left feeling welcome and truly relaxed. We only had a two day break, I wanted to stay next year I will book two weeks here.

Great hotel right on the beach. The staff and owners are really friendly and helpful. This is a fantastic place to relax on the quiet side of the island. In easy walking distance of a lot of places to eat. I loved getting up and watch the sun rise over Mount Rinjani from the hotel beach.

If you want to feel at home and have privacy this is the best place on Gili Air. It is a spacious complex with solidly built rooms so you can not hear your neighbours or the call to pray. Each room has a Verandah or balcony with views out to the sea. There is a beach bar and a new spa for a massage or pedicure while listening to the waves. The staff are happy and friendly. You will soon relax and slow down to island pace. The snorkelling is to die for straight out in front. Sun rise is gorgeous and worth getting up at 6am. Afternoon naps are normal for guests. Forget winter in Oz, come to Juliantos for a month.

Brilliant again and they are full- families and couples. A new spa and massage area opening soon Cannot wait to get back into the sea water pool - the beach is very inviting too. Enjoying the food with others. Julia and Tony great hosts
