"For a budget-friendly hotel, the service was excellent. The room had a 1.8-meter king-size bed and two single mattresses. We asked for an extra quilt, which was promptly delivered. The room was compact, but it certainly met the basic needs of our family of four. Breakfast was 10.45 pounds per person, and only 1 pound for children, which was quite a bargain. The hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the commercial district."

"After checkout the hotel send me a final statement, and charge my creditcard. Unfortionally they took more than the statement was. I sent them an email to correct this, but they never answered the email. After several times, there was no choice to file a creditcard complain. This is still under investigation. Until today I never received any email of them. It is just 40 GBP, but they don't care. Nice location with a lookover the harbour, but that it is! Next year Ramsgate, but for sure no Royal Harbour Hotel! Tourist trap!"

The Pegwell Bay Hotel ★★★

"A lovely Hotel. The room was spacious and had plenty of storage for your luggage. The bathroom was large with a big, clean, modern shower. The staff were lovely too, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect. A very good selection – cereal, full English or whatever you wanted cooked, toast, pastries, fresh fruit (melon not just apples !) and the icing on the cake was sitting out on the terrace beside the sea. There was plenty of free, spacious parking – there’s nothing worse than having to hike off to a local car park and leave your car unattended and out of sight. The location was prefect for us for cliff top walks and not far from the vibrant town with pretty harbour and food, drink and entertainment. Being out of town it was very quiet at night, with no passing noisy traffic. We had a good uninterrupted sleep I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Pegwell Bay Hotel."
