Castle at Edgehill

We have stayed and eaten at the Castle twice and found every aspect of both stays excellent. The rooms are solid stone, spotlessly clean and well appointed. They are also set apart from the bar/restaurant and are peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed unbroken sleep, drifting off to the sound of owls in the trees. The pub is vibrant with a great friendly a**osphere, delicious food and attentive staff who are eager to please. We will return!

5 star service at 4 star prices. Excellent meal prepared and served with characterfull professionalism. Beautifully cooked and Jude's Ice cream a perfect choice to serve.

Wonderful pub with castle and large rooms. The food was excellent and the view at breakfast was superb. The only thing was that the hot water is on demand electric but didn't work very well.

We've eaten here a few times now and it is truly phenomenal! The food is fantastic and the views incredible. Sylwia and the team really couldn't do enough for us and they made our dinner (16 of us!) really special. I can't wait until our next trip over.

Lacks the fine detail of a £190 per night stay Room on first glance was large bright and airy but soon saw windows were dripping in water puddling onto the sills and walls Very dusty on the floors top of the bed posts and under the rug hadn’t been wiped in a while Bed was not comfortable at all Shower leaked , door was off it’s runner the force of the water was poor and the shower tray was dirty Lino in the bathroom was buckling and lumpy The room had a desk top mini fridge which buzzed and clacked all night with a bright white light No charging points for toothbrushes Food in restaurant was lovely however at breakfast even though we were first in some of the full English elements were stone cold We were seated for lunch and evening meal by the fire in the back room but it was very very noisy and would have preferred the choice of the terrace room where the breakfast is served but was not offered Can’t fault the service of the staff in the restaurant they work very hard just a bit of a disappoin**ent in the details for the price Nice quiet location, good views

Best way to describe this stay is unique. The suite was spacious, enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Basic continental breakfast (croissant, cereal, fruit yogurt, orange juice) was provided in a little box, and were able to eat in our room. This helped a lot with having one child with ASD. Staff were friendly, best that I have had in a UK hotel so far. Would have loved to spent more time here, so could experience the restaurant.

We stayed in the Cromwell Suite, oh my goodness!!! Absolutely awesome, a huge living room, with comfy sofas and a huge tv. The bedroom was beautiful, such a comfy bed. Bathroom can only be described as brilliant.

We stayed in the Cromwell suite for a birthday trip. The room and property was beautiful. The staff was amazing. So helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs served excellent food. Overall the stay was amazing. Would definitely recommend! It was the highlight of our stay in England.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 1 night. My children loved staying in a castle! The staff was very nice, especially the bartender who checked us into our room. Beautiful views of the area from the dining room. We stayed during the weekend so had the pleasure of the full English Breakfast. The suite was updated nicely with the exception of the flooring. And the shower caulking was in dire need of replacement as it was black all around the shower pan. We did appreciate the sofa bed and cot being set up prior to our arrival and my kids loved the free juice in the fridge. The parking could be challenging as they have a small lot and was full when we arrived, although this was during the dinner rush so probably a big part of it. Definitely a unique stay.
