One of our preferred hotels in Reykjavik Pros - parking, proximity to town and the waterfront, one of the better breakfasts in Iceland (vegetarian options - yes, vegan options - unsure), decently sized rooms with phrases on the wall that add a nice touch, atmosphere tends to be sophisticated and peaceful in lobby, cafes nearby, late check-out time Cons - Room floors were dust free but not dirt free, perhaps they need mopping? Windows definitely need cleaning from the outside more regularly they were completely soiled during our visit and ruined any view we had - including the sky!! Our room cards deactivated 5 mins BEFORE check-out whilst loading and unloading the car, then at EXACT checkout time the room phone rang to remind about checkout. We found this quite aggressive and excessive, and certainly added stress to our supposed-to-be holiday which was totally unnecessary.
