Upon arrival at this hotel, i was amazed at the beautiful building, so first impressions were very good, however, check in took longer than it should have. Due to a flight delay we didnt arrive until midnight, and it seemed the gentleman on reception didnt seem to know what he was doing. This became apparent the following evening when the hotel room phone rang at midnight, waking us up. Our passport numbers were not registered and they felt it acceptable to call at this hour! Very bad judgement of the staff member and i wasnt impressed. Also, this hotel is quite a trek to the main centre of Rome so buses and taxi's are a must. I found this a little inconvenient.
The menu sounds great and well priced, but the food was very average and small portioned. I would not recommend eating your main evening meal here, unless you arrive late.
They also state that the restaurant closes at 10.30pm, however i was told they were closing and it was before 10pm. I then asked if they were happy to offer a snack and they said they dont offer snacks, although they offer small round biscuits and peanuts with a glass of wine. We had a guest who needs to eat with their medication so I felt quite dismissed.
The rooms are very clean, and the breakfast staff (one lady in particular) was very friendly. However, breakfast options are limited and mainly consist of cheese, ham and pastries, with some watery cubed melon that didnt look daily fresh. Again, very average.
I wouldn't choose to stay again.
