Hotel Athmos

Nie vorher sind wir in einem Hotel gewesen, bei dem man das Gefühl hatte, ein störender Eindringling zu sein. Auf jeden Fall kein willkommener Gast. Es gibt kein Restaurant, keine Mini Bar, das Frühstückscafé ist nach dem Frühstück geschlossen, beneso der Hoteleingang. der Eintrittscode funktioniert nicht, beim Anruf, um die Tür öffnen zu lassen, nur ein unfreundlicher Herr. Alles in allem: Nie wieder!

Good location and 4*for cleanliness 2* for the service The quality of the service at reception is poor and under the level of a 4 *! Appart of the young guy was friendly. The rest isnt well managed. But the rooms are ok. Judt dont expect some sens of hospitality.

Hotel datato. Il receptionist, unica figura vista in hotel, presente a momenti alterni, tanto che al check out abbiamo lasciato la chiave sul bancone dopo attesa di 15 min. La prima mattina, a colazione, ho dovuto apparecchiare il tavolo perché nessuno era presente. Rientrato in hotel alle 18, mi accorgo che la camera non è stata rifatta: scendo alla reception, ho la fortuna di trovare l'incaricato che preferisce cambiarmi la camera, sicuramente per mancanza di personale. Il cambio, con rifacimento del bagaglio, l'ho fatto da solo. Non si può assegnare 4 stelle (la località non ha una grande disponibilità alberghiera) ad una struttura così mediocre!

(+) Characterful & authentic building w/complementary internal decoration/furnishing; (+) Excellent location for station & town; (+) Good-size bedroom w/open-able windows & real door key; (+) Good breakfast managed by pleasant & diligent lady; (+) BBC World TV channel; (+) Hot drinks facility in bedroom. (-) Open front door access hours restricted w/entry only possible w/code, so not so convenient.

Very friendly reception and fast check-in. Parking requires a stopover. At check-in you are given a code for the gate. Not ideal as the city is full of one-way traffic making access potentially time consuming. In the evening, the room was noisy due to loud music or a neighbour exercising. Luckily the night itself was very calm, with bearly any traffic noise. The bed is ok with rather soft mattress. The rooms are spacious but very old: dirty carpet and many wooden appliances falling apart.

OK, It was a business trip so really only bedding down in the evening. But the room was tired, The door to the and from the corridor was only handing on by 1 hinge, the lift was out of order, I had a cabinet in my room but it looked broken, There was a paper cup with mainly decaf coffee on offer in my room. The decor is aged. It felt like either the owner did not care or just ran out of money. There is parking but it is small and was full on my arrival. When I mentioned where I had parked to the receptionist he said that was perfectly fine. The next morning when I went to my car there were too stickers explaining that I had parked in a private area and to make sure I completely understood they had also decided to key the entire drivers side of the car. I told reception and they did not really seem that interested, but advised the other receptionist had incorrectly informed me about the parking. It was a hire car and fully insured so no real impact on me. I think the next visit I have to this area of the world I will choose a different hotel.

A 4 star hotel old décor, no air conditioning and no mini bar. I request a fan that they promise me but do not deliver. Cleaning is done only in the bathroom but not in the room. Very bad experience

Hôtel Athmos & Athmos Studios (Av. Léopold-Robert 45 - 2300 La Chaux-de-fonds) is a hotel to avoid. This hotel gives NO prof. service, is only MONEY oriented and has always EXCUSES (always other reasons/other people are the cause of their problems like lots of NOICE in rooms, NO working WIFI in rooms, NO regular attendance,...). Madame C. Reichenbach (directrice) is the worst, and she demonstrates and creates an unprofessional environment for the staff and especially for the customers/clients. During a personal visit to the hotel you will receive a special rate of 170 CHF/night incl. breakfast for a renovated Studio from the reception staff, but when you make your reservation later (by e-mail and/or direct on-line booking), the special rate is not valid anymore (with lots of excuses) and you will pay 190CHF/night + 18CHF/breakfast =208CHF/night (=+22,35%). Every complaint you will have is always answered by excuses and others are the cause of your problem. You will never get a (working/acceptable) solution and the directrice is only fixated on your money. There are lots of hotels in the region (Neuchatel, La Chaux-des-Fonds) and we already visited 2 other hotels, with a very prof. and customer friendly service. Hôtel Athmos & Athmos Studios is the worst hotel we have ever visited during the past 15 years (private and professional), because of only excuses (no solutions) and only interested in your money with no service.

We enjoyed staying in the Athmos hotel. Breakfast is excellent
