К счастью, добрая женщина (уборщица) пришла нам на помощь и всё уладила. Оказалось, что не хватало только туристического налога; однако его не запрашивали при бронировании! Номер был вполне приемлемым, но не хватало одного-двух дополнительных полотенец и, например, коробки салфеток. Что касается завтрака, он был очень посредственным; например, омлет состоял просто из яичного порошка! И в заключение, менеджер отеля был недружелюбен (улыбка входит в цену)."

"As always, a pleasant stay at this hotel. Reception is always reachable and extremely friendly. Located right next to the highway yet quiet. Large enclosed parking lot, so the car is safe too. All amenities are present in the room, but unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Sunday evening. However, the breakfast is more than excellent, starting as early as 6:30 AM for those passing through. There is a Leclerc gas station a few hundred meters away. For the diehards, there is also a McDonald's and a KFC nearby..."

"We had a wonderful brief stay here several decades ago. Delighted to find that it is still a splendid venue with soothing and inspiring grounds , a welcoming and professional staff and very comfortable and somewhat distinctive rooms. A few slight frustrations;: twilight lighting in the bathroom, small sinks designed to splash outside and the lack of an overhead vent fan. But the bed and bedding are quite comfortable, the breakfast exemplary; ample parking and east access to major roads. The price is quite fair for a place that aspires to and delivers a superior stay."

"A Masterclass in Misrepresentation – Avoid at All Costs Our experience with this guesthouse was so disappointing that we decided not to stay and found alternative accommodation in Saintes, where we received the warm welcome we had originally expected. The first warning sign was the entrance. Rather than an inviting reception, you're faced with an unappealing door tucked away on a pedestrian shopping street. Gaining entry proved frustrating because the intercom simply didn't work. Once we eventually made contact, we were greeted not with hospitality but with a lecture about not speaking French, being told we should do so "whilst in France." It was an unnecessarily rude and dismissive introduction. The property's advertising also raised serious concerns. It is promoted as "No Pets Allowed" and allergy-free, yet the landlady's dog was wandering freely around the accommodation. As my wife suffers from a dog allergy, this was completely unacceptable and contradicted the very reason we had chosen the property. We were also surprised to discover that access to the outdoor breakfast terrace required climbing onto a stool and then climbing out through a window. This struck us as both inconvenient and potentially unsafe. The listing also advertises air conditioning. In reality, what we saw was a fan and an evaporative cooler. That is simply not the same thing and gives a misleading impression of the facilities on offer. The décor looked more like a cluttered charity shop or junk store than a welcoming guesthouse. Rather than rustic charm, it gave the impression of years of accumulated furniture and ornaments with little thought to comfort or presentation. Taken together, the inaccurate advertising, the presence of a dog despite the "no pets" and allergy-free claims, and the hostile welcome left us with no confidence that our stay would be enjoyable. We chose to leave immediately and booked alternative accommodation elsewhere in Saintes, where we received the friendly welcome we had hoped for. Despite not staying, we have still not received a refund of the £100 we paid in advance. At the time of writing, we remain out of pocket and are not optimistic that this will be resolved. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this property."

Поскольку это всего лишь одна ночь, особых нареканий нет. Парковка удобная, но завтрака не было, так как мы приехали рано утром. В номере есть окно, но оно очень шумело (проезжающие машины), поэтому мы не могли держать его открытым. Поскольку это бюджетный отель, то, что там не так много вещей, нормально, но было бы здорово, если бы был небольшой мини-бар, где можно было бы хранить охлажденные напитки. В целом, соотношение цены и качества для такого типа путешественников."

Old building, somewhat clean, walk through, walk through, room smoke muff, view of the indoor. Good bed, average breakfast. Well, a nice night stay in Ipv... a sleeping box on an industrial site."

"I get the impression that most people use this hotel as a one night stopover. We had three nights and enjoyed the garden with its film set lakes with ducks, a swan and various other wildlife. The house is a converted farmhouse with an eclectic mix of old and new furniture. Our room was long and dark with a small terrace overlooking the garden, adequately furnished but with those awful hard rubber pillows the French seem to like.The bathroom was ok but could have done with another hook or two to hang towels which we were encouraged not to have changed. The food was fantastic, definitely worthy of five stars, but be warned the very small menu did not change the three nights we were there. Breakfasts were disappointing, delivered in a basket either to your room or a table, the pastries were rather dry, coffee in a thermos pretty awful. You have to say on arrival what you want for breakfast and unless you specifically change it, you get the same every day. Nearby Saintes had interesting old remains and walking through exploring it was a pleasure."
