Amaryllis Hotel

There is no elevator, which is not so convenient for passengers with more luggage. We asked the counter and the bellboy for help but they didn't show up so we chose to carry our own luggage from the car to the room. We left without breakfast so there was no message. When the windows of the room was opened, one of the Window fell down, which made us very nervous but we found it troublesome to change rooms so we stayed on. Overall or good, encountered the safety cabinet has a problem to solve the counter immediately.

Realy excellent hotel and 2 staff members excelled in every thing in helping guests so welcome to kostas and giorge you'll never be forgotten and we'll be back real soon I will recommend to all keep up the excellent work and well be in touch very soon

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was basic but clean and perfectly functional. Big bathroom with shower, although the water turning on and off during a shower was a little frustrating. The Bed was comfortable and we slept well. No balcony but a large window with security mesh was useful to keep the room cool.

I could only give 3* as this reflects the terrible room we were given. We were given room 15 in the basement, can only compare it to a dungeon, the corridor leading to it was unwelcoming also. There was an intermittent bad drain smell in both the corridor & our room. This is quite frankly the worst room I have ever had anywhere in the world! So tiny that one person had to sit on the bed for the other to access the bathroom, door or patio. Only 1 bedside table, no room for 2, nowhere to put our clothes so the room was constantly untidy & we couldn’t find anything, 1 small cupboard that had black mould on the wall, it also contained a safe & small 2 drawer chest so unable to hang dresses. The small patio just looked onto a wall, the bathroom was minuscule & flooded every time we showered. The sink had a crack. There was nowhere to unpack toiletries & the extraction fan didn’t work. The room is not suitable for 2 people. I asked 3 days on the trot for a different room, we would have happily paid extra for a better room but apparently there were none available. Other negatives are the hotel was advertised with a bar & snack bar which were not open, also the small pool looked dirty, we never saw it being cleaned or the PH levels checked. Plus points were the bed was comfy & the hotel is super clean. The staff are pleasant too. Also lovely hotel cat! Breakfast is basic & is the same every day, the coffee isn’t nice as it’s just kept hot in an urn. Highly recommend booking a superior room if you choose this hotel as our experience was completely spoiled by the terrible room

Me and my wife stayed here for a week. The receptionist Maria was lovely, we was always welcomed with a smile and a massive hello. The room… the room we was in wasn’t the greatest, had the worst sleep ever. We was in room 18 on bottom floor. The bed was the worst, all it did was sqeek every time we moved. The water pipes must have been in our room as whenever someone flushed the toilet , there was a loud noice of water for about 3 minutes ( throughout the day and night) The bus stop is about a 5 min walk from the hotel, which is good for people wanting to get the bus. No more than 3 euro to go anywhere. There is a man who collects the money of you… AVOID him. He is a nasty piece of work. Always wearing a blue ellesee jumper with a hat (Picture attached) The way he speaks to people is awful, we also took a lot more money of us ( short changed us every time) The beach is about a 5 min walk (black sand beach) lots of restaurants around. It’s overall a nice beach. Plenty of sun beds / tables around. More

This hotel has an OFFICIAL COMPLAINT by ***********. I wish I had read the travel agent review online. A very similar thing happened to me. I had booked through *********** for a superior room with balcony which said garden view. When we arrived, we were taken to a basement room which was much smaller than what was shown online. So was the bathroom. It was unclean and the balcony had the view of a wall in front!! No garden no nothing! I have attached photos for anyone to compare with those on ***********. When I spoke to the reception (Maria), they were kind about it and connected to the manager. This man was very rude on call and disconnected the phone and blocked my number so that I couldn't reach him again. I spoke to *********** who also said they were very rude and would not let them provide any refund. One of my worst experiences. STAY AWAY!

The hotel was nice, and the lady at the reception helped us with everything we asked her, breakfast was really good, and we felt safe around the hotel. thanks for everything.

Such a lovely hotel. Just come back from a weeks long stay. The hotel is in a great location, close to local bus to explore the rest of the island and only a two minute walk to the black sand beach plus loads of tasty restaurants. A lovely quiet base to explore Santorini. Super clean, very helpful and friendly staff on hand day and night. We had a beautiful balcony to rest on after everyday adventures. Highly recommend for a quiet base to enjoy exploring.
