Motel 6 Chilhowie, VA - I-81

"Older Motel 6 located right where I needed to be. Management doing their best to offer a clean, safe, comfortable overnight stay. This was a budget price and I did not expect any luxury. Room was neat and clean, laminate wood floors throughout including bathroom. Fixtures modern and clean, had excellent hot water and although the volume reduced when other rooms came on the temperature stayed hot. Platform beds pretty spartan but easier to keep clean and I saw no signs of bedbugs. This place filled up slam full on Saturday night with not an open room. Parking lot full with camera coverage, people I met staying were friendly and courteous - EVERYONE wants a safe clean place to stay. Free WiFi and lobby coffee pot in the morning. I expect due to my bargain rate hunt with Trip I was assigned a second story room smack in the middle between stairs - had to carry all my motorcycle luggage the furthest possible distance to my room. I bet if I paid a few dollars more I might have earned a ground floor, but I am cheap LOL. Management trying their best, and would gladly stay again! Room 206"
