Club Villa

A beautiful small hotel with lots of quirky features and old world charm. Beautiful garden and pool and lovely, friendly staff. If you like Geoffrey Bawa then this is a great opportunity to stay in a building he designed and enjoy the beautiful architecture and garden. Particularly recommend a lassi under the trees in the afternoon. Plenty of sunbeds and places to relax, lots of peace and quiet. And the bonus of a train trundling past the end of the garden every so often!

We spent the last night of our lovely vacation here at the Club Villa. The team was kind enough to upgrade us to the Deluxe room. the room itself was very well appointed and opened directly to the swimming pool. The bed & linen was top notch. The pool was well kept and our son didnt want to leave the pool at all. The team, especially, Dilan & Keshini at the front desk, & Travis, Sanjeeva & Mahesh at the restaurant were fantastic. A special shout out to the chef for preparing the most delicious Sri Lankan Chicken curry & rice for our last meal in Sri Lanka.

Terrible. Dirty and horrible rooms. Filthy mattress and staff are OK as long as you don't complain. Honestly, so much potential here as the building and gardens are lovely on the outside. Unfortunately someone is making a lot of money out of this. Needs major improvements and reception staff/management are terrible.

Stunning landscaped gardens immaculately kept. Very cool place altogether and you cross the railway line at the end of the garden to reach the beautiful long and empty beach. Lovely staff ( they all seem to be in Sri Lanka ) . The hotel is tranquil and our deluxe room was quirky with a balcony overlooking the gardens

Fantastic place to stay! We flew in to Colombo and drove an hour and a half to Bentota. Location of Club Villa is just right - near the beach and the town. The setting is stunning and the staff could not be more helpful. The food in the restaurant is amazing (and very reasonable). Would really recommend this as your first stop if travelling south. Loved it! Great character - as designed by architect Geoffrey Bawa. Eat Sri Lankan - dinner and breakfast.

Had a wonderful 1 night stay with the office colleagues. Planning the trip was quite easy with Mr. Nilantha Jayasinghe. Although he was not there at the villa when we visited, he had made sure that his staff were aware of all of our requests. They attended to our special requests and were very welcoming and cordial. Mr. Jayasinghe gave us some FOC services as well to make our stay even better. We would definitely like to visit again. Thank you so much for thr great experience.

Gorgeous boutique hotel! Great garden along the beach, very comfortable rooms. Any detail in decoration or service is handled with great care. Do not miss the lunch or dinner menus: the chef is amazing and so is the food! We ll go back !!

Sylvie and I would like to thank you for your excellent welcome both very professional and very friendly because know it, the villa club people will always do everything for your well being. We were picked up as soon as we arrived at the airport and those despite an early morning arrival then our room was ready from 8am. Left in circuit at 4:00 a person brought us a breakfast basket, you want to rent a scooter no problem more the situation of the hotel offers many possibilities of escape whether by train, bus, taxi, tuk tuk or motorcycle. Question meal we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast: fruit, buffalo yogurt, omelette and bacon and many other choices. Dinner: as you will see in photo we tested almost all the Sri Lankan specialties proposed and each time it was a treat. The chef and his team are on top. You want fresh fish a special request and Prasanna and her team will look for will satisfy you. Simple pool but temperature and cleanliness at the top ditto for the very intimate garden not to mention the extremely pleasant olfactory atmosphere and soothing mixture of smell of gardenia and jasmine. Room and interior of the hotel both simple and extremely elegant, colonial style and it is all the interest of the place the feeling of being at home in VIP++ mode and not in one of these factories to tourist sanitized and charming. Beach: Direct access, wild and clean ideal for late afternoon walks and swimming in the rollers. ⚠️The train ⚠️ It is very little present, a few trains a day of a few seconds but absolutely does not disturb your tranquility because it is not a TGV and on the contrary it brings an entertaining and exotic note, a kind of attraction. In conclusion these 7 days were wonderful and rich of beautiful meeting in a dream place. We plan to come back longer with our three children and it will be at club Villa as one of our bases on the West side. Bohoma istuh-ti all and take care of yourself.
