The hotel is very nice and the room was also. The continental breakfast was ok. Would stay again if in the area.

Traveling for work and this was one of the few hotels that looked ok for around $100 a night. It amazes me what people will pay per night locally. Amsterdam is an older hotel, but it's not run down and falling apart. It's got a neat cool vibe to it. Smaller everything, except the room. It was quiet, comfortable, clean, and easy. No bugs or boogie men like these fake reviews of hotels all around the area say. I stayed at the Hyatt in Greenwich last week and I'd choose Amsterdam 10 times out of 10.

Value for money. Close to Stamford station.

Very old outdated hotel. The rugs were dirty, the curtain gall down, window didn't lock, wallpaper seams had mold; bathroom toilet seat all scratched looks like from a dog, and the room smelled. Never again would I stay there nor recommend it.

+Lobby staff & management were very friendly, efficient, and negotiable with our extended stay. Always quick to address any concerns or questions. +Cleaning staff came daily unless asked otherwise, keep rooms very clean and tidy. +Close to downtown area - around five minutes driving, around 15 minutes walking - with lots of parking space available. +Free breakfast in the morning! +Good, strong WiFi connection available - very briefly lost Internet once in two weeks. +Dog-friendly with reasonable rates! Hotel, as a whole, seemed dated as others have said. My partner and I made many a joke to it looking like The Shining. We didn't mind, but something to note. The free breakfast had a limited selection. Don't expect full buffets, just something to get you through the morning 'til lunch. We didn't get the chance to use the facilities (laundry, gym), but they were offered. -The beds were hard and were uncomfortable to us. We needed to purchase a foam mattress to make sleep more bearable, as our hips and backs started to hurt after the first two nights. -The elevators broke down more than a few times during our stay. Thankfully they worked on check-out day, otherwise we would have been in trouble! OVERALL: For the price and location, we were very happy with our stay! Love the staff, attentiveness and consistency. Just wished they had better beds and less temperamental elevators. Even with the dated appearance, if you need a place to stay, this place does the job for a price that won't burn your wallet. We recommend!

Great value, very clean room. Decor is outdated but not an issue for us as couple. Plenty of free parking, short drive to downtown Stamford. Good continental breakfast

Property is extremely clean but a little dated. For a one night stay in the area the price was much better than other hotels in the other. It suited our needs, though the beds weren't the most comfortable. Again the rooms and bathroom were noticeably very clean, which means a lot to me

I had privacy in my room, very clean, very quiet. Staff was was very helpful and respectful. Convenient to stores ,restaurants and theaters.

Love this hotel! We go to the Capitol theatre in Port Chester for concerts at least 3x annually and the hotel is only 15 minutes away. It's clean, affordable, and the staff is amazing!

I came in for a funeral. Several of us stayed. I was surprised at the quality, friendliness and cleanliness.

I don’t know how this hotel received so many 10 of 10 ratings. There’s no way a high rating is accurate. It’s very misleading. This is a budget hotel. The room was clean. Front desk staff was friendly. The bathroom was updated. The bed was like a cement block and pillows about an inch thick. Very uncomfortable. But if you’re on a budget this place could work for 1 night. Don’t trust the high reviews.

Online the hotel was rated at 8.6 so we were expecting an upgraded hotel. The place was old and drab, even the bedding was old and outdated. The heat did not work properly and the room was cold and drafty. Would not recommend to anyone. The only thing that made the stay acceptable was the lady at the front desk. She was friendly and helpful and did her job very well.
