"Came here just for 1 night as a get away and not a frequent visitor to casinos, but thought it would be fun. The casino is very cleans and we were more than happy with our room. I used the gym and it was spotless with the basics in there. We wondered around and enjoyed the gaming and the arcade by the bowling alley. Dinner was great and so were the drinks at guy fieris restaurant. Only point was we checked in at the wrong end of the casino so drove to the other car park but really found it difficult with the signage to find where to go. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay."

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cherokee

"We booked a suite that was supposed to have a Jacuzzi. After checkout it wasn't listed in the details but too late to cancel. I requested our room to be upgraded and never received a response or acknowledgement and of course we got stuck without one. Couldn't figure out where the pool was or even if they had one but supposedly they should have one. Water in the bath tub constantly dripped and we couldn't get it to shut off. We reported it immediately to the front desk as soon as we entered the room but we suffered 3 days with the nonstop sound of dripping running water because they had no one who could do maintenance. Our room was positioned directly over the lobby and across from the elevator and the soundproofing was almost non-existent. We heard everything. Dogs barking, neighbors arguing, doors closing, every trip of the elevator and every movement of the lobby doors. It was hard to get any sleep. And then the TV was quite old a 20" screen stuck at the ceiling with lots of noise / static across the picture. Hubby wanted to watch the FIFA games but the pic quality was so bad you couldn't even tell where the ball was. The wifi was only accessible on one side of the room and when you had access it was only 0.41mbs. It was clean if you ignore the dog hairs on the sofa and chairs etc. Breakfast was so-so. Nothing was made fresh it was all prepackaged stuff, and it was hot only if you microwaved it. So the stay was "alright" but we feel like we were overcharged considering all of the issues above. We took a vacay last year to Hot Springs spent the same amount of money per night and that hotel was pure luxury compared to this it was so clean, uptodate, hot fresh breakfast, big tv screen, cook stove, large refrigerator, even had some dishes stocked and a dishwasher in the room. You don't go on vacay for the room but at the very least you should be comfortable enough to relax during your stay especially at the rate they charge."

"We love staying here and stay there every time we go to Cherokee. The room was what we planned this time though. Several things weren’t there or didn’t work. I really wish Rodeway would spend a little money here to fix the place up. It is the best location in Cherokee, yet treated as one of the after thoughts in investment. "We stayed 3 nights and two days in the Boats and Paddles room. There is easy access to this rustic B&B just minutes from Bryson City and there is access to Smokey Mountain National Park about 1 mile down the road. Easy hiking trails will take you to 3 water falls and Clear Creek. Also a picnic area, camping and water rafting or tubing. The Inn itself is nicely furnished and quiet with good HVAC and plenty of hot water. The hosts do a good job of making your stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast is awesome, great coffee, cookies and treats daily and home like amenities. About 7:30 each morning the large house begins to smell like a great day."
