Hotel Bella Riva

This hotel is located on Lake Garda, has a lovely pool and very attractive outdoor area where one can have a cocktail and drink in the gorgeous setting. The hotel is situated close to some charming towns with good restaurants. The food at the hotel was excellent, especially the plentiful pastries which appeared at breakfast. Dinner was also excellent and the restaurant setting is a pleasure even when it rained one night. The issue for both couples were the rooms. They were just okay, with not enough light and not enough accessible outlets for charging devices. For a hotel of this caliber you'd expect the rooms to be more luxurious and to have a few more touches to make the rooms more comfortable. The restaurant staff were always friendly. The front desk staff was more hit and miss in that regard.

We've just returned from our 3rd visit here. Arguably one of the most attractive hotels on this shoreline, with beautiful gardens & far reaching views out across the lake. Rooms are very comfortable, food is excellent, staff generally very pleasant and helpful. We have a couple of criticisms / observations which is why our review is not 5 stars. We love it here and are already planning to return next year. But, for a 5 star hotel, you would expect more attentive pool service and certainly to be available from 9.30am / 10am. The hotel appears to be family friendly, but this is not clear to most guests who appear to be annoyed at children in the pool. We have a 6yr old Son, who lived in the pool or the lake for 6 days almost! There were many guests that appeared to take offensive at my Son and others playing nicely in the pool; perhaps this should be made clear to guests that this is not an 'adult only' hotel; there are plenty of those hotels in / around the lake.. Finally, just a minor grumble, but the absence of plug sockets in the rooms is a little frustrating. Can't wait to return in 2024.

Beautiful stay. I am not normally a reviewer, but as parents traveling through Europe, I thought it might be helpful for others if we dropped a line to say how magnificent both of our hotel babysitters (Suzie/Carol) were. Our children wouldn't stop talking about how amazing of a time they had and we felt very comfortable touring the area and communicating with them through whats app. I can't say enough good things about the entire staff. A very special shout out to Carol for her awesomeness, not just with our children :) THANK YOU!!!

We recently stayed here for a few nights of our honeymoons to use it as a pass through to get from the Dolomites to Tuscany to break up our trip. We had heard wonderful things about garda and we were looking forward to the experience. Upon arrival, we pulled up and a nice man came to grab our luggage and we went inside to check in. The hotel knew we were on our honeymoon and proceeded to stick us in a room with a view of the parking lot. For being a five star hotel, we expected more for the first few moments of our arrival. We then went to ask about changing rooms and without any ask the front desk said oh you want a room with a view? Pretty mind boggling. Aside from that, food was decent wine was decent but there wasn’t even a list… The pool and ground are beautifully kept. Other than that, we could not have been more disappointed in our 5 star hotel stay.

We were going to give this hotel 3 stars but upon giving our feedback as we left the response from the male manager was so flippant, uninterested and unresponsive that it doesn’t deserve 3 stars. The responses we recieved during our stay are not the responses of a 5 star hotel. If you want to speak like this with clients you don’t deserve to be a 5 star hotel. The hotel is aesthetically beautiful with nice views, lovely pool and friendly staff during your stay (around pool and in restaurant). However the rooms were insanely hot and noisy as you are basically on a main road. We asked twice to have something to help the room cool down/change of room but weren’t offered anything. Given its not busy season in any way that would have been a good offer but one we were not allowed. We got one small fan on the final night. Which provided little relief and I do not expect a tiny desk fan in a 5 star hotel. The other thing is there are honestly ZERO plug sockets in the room. In order to charge our phones we had to unplug a lamp next to the bed which was wired up to the lighting switch so tricky to keep on. And the other phone of my fiancé we plugged into the bathroom. So when we had the fan nothing could be charged. The rooms have no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities probably because they have no plug 😂 I’d stay here only if single and not interested in sleeping but happy to sit by a nice pool during the day and then sleepless night Other people complained of the same issue as we were leaving and checking out. perhaps they should listen and apologise kindly

everything about this amazing hotel is top notch - from quality service to scrumptious restaurant food and to tasteful décor and ambiance. Just wow! The location and the views of the lake were stunning

The location and the overall standard of this hotel is what really stuck out placed just on the lakefront, in the middle of the lake border making it much easier to travel around, finished and furnished with great attention to detail. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner menus were varied enough with quality options. Service was spot on.

What a gorgeous hotel! The location is stunning and great to have both pool and opportunity to swim in the lake from the jetty. The hotel decor is the perfect mix of modern and classic and very, very stylish throughout (the bar at sunset in particular!), we had one of the smaller rooms but it didnt feel small in the slightest. Lots of breakfast and lunch options and the dinners were spectacular too. Staff were friendly and approachable. We have no faults for this hotel, it was so relaxing and you never felt like there were a lot of people there due to only having 27 rooms. A good place for exploring and walkable to some great restaurants - Il Fagliore and Trattoria Riolet in particular. Couldn't recommend more!
