Songlam Waterfront Hotel

The hotel itself is no doubt a good hotel according to north American standard. Breakfast is ok. The roof is leaking into the restaurant, but I guess this will be repaired soon. However the spa was a disappointment, not exactly what I would have expected.

I had been to Nghe An, Vinh City 3 weeks ago. My stay this time is fantastic. Never expect somewhere outside Nghe An, along the river, there is a great hotel — SONGLAM Waterfront Hotel in Ha Tinh. A true “song lam”. 10 to 15 mins from Vinh downtown, and 30 mins to/from Vinh airport. Clean, good service, friendly staff, and very kind hotel boss/manager (Ricky). Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic service from the minute I arrived. I actually didn’t have any plans on staying here tho l pulled over to check my maps on my motorbike and couldn’t miss this huge establishment. Because of ***** New Year l wasn’t even sure if it was open. I thought why not go and see after l looked it up on ***********. As soon as l arrived a very happy kind lady staff member greeted me and l asked if they had accommodation and she said yes. Well wasn’t l surprised with absolutely everything. The price to begin with as l walked in instead of booking was over 500k cheaper. The room was huge, spacious and absolutely lush. Another bonus as l was quite cold and wet from a big ride was the room had a bath = OMG and this was one of very few places in the entire Vietnam hotel industry that had good hot water supply. So after a soothing hot bath the excellent experience did not stop there tho only began. This place was quite extravagant and flash. The rooftop bar was closed which was understandable tho l was looking for a bottle of wine as l didn’t really want to get back on the bike and tour around when most shops were shut anyway. I walked into the restaurant ( l was truly the only guest at that time in the whole place) and another happy staff member asked if she could help. I asked if restaurant was open and she said yes and l could order anything. To my amazement the restaurant is open all day no room service is available for anything. Now we are onto some even better things. Another staff member came and took me into a wine room and said l could purchase anything. OMG 😉… I ordered an amazing bottle of Sangiovese 500k and 4x dishes for dinner to be delivered to my room at 6.30 as it was only 4.30pm. Your room by the way has a mini bar which l quickly devoured on entree which l must say was so so convenient after a huge day. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment and staff. They even stored my bike in secure parking and on checking out they even helped me pack my motorbike. Absolutely amazing and oh l forgot = easily the most comfortable bed and pillows in Vietnam hands down. Thank you to all the staff.

Song Lam Waterfront Hotel provides an exceptional service, beautiful and comfortable rooms and facilities. The staff throughout the hotel are friendly and welcoming, very personable and felt they really cared about making our stay special. A most highly recommended hotel!
