Hotel Casa Terra

A perfect stay for our two nights in Villa de Leyva. We arrived in the evening and the grounds were beautifully lit up and welcoming. Turn down service, delicious breakfast and a prime location - you won’t regret staying here!

A small and very charming hotel. Beautifully decorated and Excellent location. Wonderful breakfast which includes fruits, breads and other delicious options of your choosing. The owner was very helpful at all times. We fully enjoyed our stay and Highly Recommend this very authentic Colombian place to stay in Villa de Leyva.

The owners of this hotel have lived and studied in Europe and travelled widely. It shows. They know what makes a good hotel. The bedrooms feel light and airy, painted white with just enough contemporary furniture. The bed was on the hard side but fine. The bathroom was nicely done (although the hot water can be a bit erratic). Some net curtains over the second window would be good as, at ground level, it can feel a little public. There was a bag of Colombian coffee beans awaiting our arrival – a lovely and thoughtful gift! From the entrance courtyard you have a lovely view of the hills behind the hotel. Breakfast happens in the other courtyard which is overhung with beautiful mature trees. The two senior members of staff are highly trained, very helpful, efficient and charming. When you get back from a walk in town or a day’s expedition, one of them is always there to greet you – and bring you, unprompted, a wonderful glass of fruit juice in your room! Everything, inside and out, is kept immaculate. With only 9 rooms, this lovely hotel feels friendly and intimate (but not in an intrusive way). I would gladly go back.

Beautiful, quiet small hotel a few blocks from the main plaza. This charming hotel has around 10 cozy rooms. There’s a gorgeous courtyard where guests can relax and chill after a day of walking around this exceptional small town. Feels safe, secure and very convenient to many restaurants and the sites. There is a wonderful breakfast served which includes fruits, breads and a delicious egg dish of your choosing. The owner was super helpful. She provided us with all kinds of valuable info on our next stop. - Barichara. We love this place. Highly recommend.

Casa Terra was perfect for us. Ximena who runs the hotel was so friendly and went out of her way to help us so much. All of the team were exceptional paying attention to every little detail. We loved our stay and extended a night too. The breakfast was excellent in the dappled sun in the beautiful courtyard

Literally the best hotel we’ve ever been! Restful nights, they even offer you three different pillows. All the details are absolutely gorgeous!! The shampoos and showered gels are amazing and for lead to your skin. We would come back 1000 times! Is delicious they offer you a very typical Colombian breakfast with coffee and natural juices. Very peaceful and quiet located perfectly to discover these wonderful little town. Also, the resident boxer dog Mia is the most beautiful and friendly dog. I wonderful Plus !

The most cozy and friendly place to stay. Nice and clean! All the people Alejandro and Francisco including the owners Alvaro and Ximena are always ready to help and suggest the nicest places to visit. Delicious weather, warm during the day and colder at nights! We had a wonderful time and are really excited to recommend this wonderful hotel.

Hotel Casa Terra was a surprising and absolutely beautiful hotel. We were greeted by the staff and Ximena (Owner) Everyone was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Upon entering, any outside noise was silenced by the surrounding walls. The landscape is beatifically maintained and the sound of the tranquil water fountain sets a relaxing atmosphere. My in-laws stayed in the roomy loft while my wife and I stayed in the Leyva room. Both were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The whole setting blends perfectly with the town (Spanish / Colombian Colonial) The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and made to order. The staff was top notch and went beyond our expectations. Even their dog Mia was very friendly and well behaved. Ximena also recommend the best places at eat and made arrangements for transportation. Our family had an absolutely amazing time.
