Chimpundu Lodge

Thank you Chimpundu for hosting our sister's birthday earlier this month of April. Thank you Gad for taking us on on such short notice and coordinating the surprise. We thank your staff for joyfully walking out with the cake at the end. My sister was greatly surprised because she has always loved this Lodge. I would like to also thank Joseph for taking us on a tour of the Lodge, taking our photos and teaching us a few tricks on taking better pics and recording better videos. Thank you Joseph. This was our second time coming here after the Lodge successfully hosting our Dad's 71st birthday.

We stayed with the family at Chimpundu Lodge last week during our visit to the beautiful Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park. The location in the middle of the hills and bush is stunning, the staff very friendly and helpful. The really went out of their way to meet our needs. The luxurious cottages are very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend Chimpundu Lodge for your stay.

Great location. Very close to chimp treking centre. Staff were very welcoming. Gad was very quick to replace the missing batteries in the safe. Our rooms were deep in the forest, with plants and trees…and wildlife just next to our balcony..it was wonderful. It was quite a steep walk up to dinner/reception but that was good preparation for the treking. The rooms were big and beds were comfy. Food was tasty and portions big - too big for me but great for husband and sons! Ordering food was interesting and a possible area for improvement as any extras discussed sometimes did not arrive… that said Joseph and Doreen were extremely attentive and I can’t fault their enthusiasm.

Together with my uncle's family, we had a two night stay at Chimpundu. Leaving was the most difficult part. A relatively new lodge but my oh my. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Thank you Joseph, Doreen (Akiiki) and Judith for making our stay memorable. The attention to detail, the layout of the rooms, the simplicity yet exquisite designs all made our stay richer. We can't wait to come back. You are one of our preferred destinations in Uganda. Coming back is a must. Chimpundu is definitely a highlight in 2022. Chimpundu affirms our belief that there are amazing places in Uganda. The tourism industry just needs to make local tourism more affordable for Ugandans. What a great place to stay at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing! Truly, words cannot describe this lovely lodge. Beautifully constructed tree house with luxurious accommodations and amenities. The most amazing and welcoming staff. Private balconies with treetop views; hot showers and bathtub with all toiletries provided (including hair conditioner and body lotion - what?!?); in room coffee service; bottled water safe to drink in your room; bathrobes and slippers; laundry service; chocolates on your pillow at night. Need I say more? Come to this lodge. You won't want to leave.

Perched perfectly in the Kibale Forest, serene, quiet and beautiful. Great customer care too! Joseph and Doreen in the restaurant were amazing. Love the huge birthrooms too! Hot water was always available in the showers. The bath tub is quite the exciting part 🛁 Maurice ***** 10/10

When entering the Kibale National Park, its filled with forest, primate and bird sounds. The surrounding foliage almost lends itself to the phrase, Deepest, Darkest Africa. Coming up to the beautifully carved Chimpundu Lodge gates, we were excited to see what was behind them. As we arrived the staff (Ugandan people smile a lot and its just wonderful) welcomed our group with open arms. We reached Chimpundu lodge at around 5 in the evening. The entrance was to prove the most modest part of our visit. Behind the gates was a series of wooden Chalets and at the top of the staircase was the reception, bar and restaurant. Carved wooden staircases and walkways led to the beautifully appointed bedrooms. Each chalet had either one, two or three beds and on the four posters hung a mosquito net. The wide verandah that wrapped itself around the chalet as it clung to the mountainside was a great place to sit and the views are spectacular. Of course we can wax lyrically about the claw bath, the walk in shower and so much more but we need to leave that for the full article. Dinner was waiting when we arrived and a buffet style dinner left us satisfied and full, requiring the walk to the room. We also found a spa, pool and games room which would rival any international hotel. Its distance to the Primate Park which houses the Chimpanzees is approximately 2 km. A worthwhile stay for any local or indentations visitor.

Wonderful hospitality at Chimpundu Lodge. Tracy at the reception was excellent, Joseph at the restaurant was amazing. Meals were fresh and tasty. Rest of the staffs were friendly and easy to be with. Chimpundu Lodge you are the best.

An awesome place to stay with lovely staffs, wonderful foods and beautiful scenery, the sounds of birds and monkeys, baboons together as well as the chimpanzees. Their houses are so clean and private.
