Hotel Prince Regent

A very pleasant stay with Daish Coach Holidays. My room was fine and the meals were good. Entertainment is provided every night and is a of a high standard. Normally I don't bother with the entertainment. The staff however made the holiday worthy. Our waiter Nelson is excellent, professional and very friendly. Thank you Nelson The two bar staff Lee and Nelson were really great and had a great rapport with the residents. Stephanie, one of the managers was warm, friendly and very professional. I would certainly return to the Prince Regent.

Staff showed a lack of understanding of a wheelchair user's needs. Room tiny on first floor through 2 fire doors & narrow corridor with awkward turns. Impossible to use wheelchair in room or bathroom. Don't they read requests submitted at time of booking? Access to front of hotel involves 4 or 5 steps, at rear you are reliant on someone opening a fire exit in the Russel Hotel next door. Considering their target market this needs to improve. Room had a good view of the bay but very tired & in need of a general update & deep clean. Someone else's cotton bud remained under the dressing table for our entire stay, fabric on divan bed was ripped. Food hit & miss, sometimes inedible, we ate out twice. Entertainment good some nights. Coach driver on way home rude & unhelpful, which I pointed out to him only to be told "Less of it". He was happy to repeat this on request. We enjoyed our time out of the hotel & have stayed in the Prince Regent under different ownership. We won't be returning.

The room was really good with a great sea view, the staff were all so nice and friendly, the food however was awful, either undercooked or cremated, sometimes both on the same plate. everything was cold when put on the table, we told the waiter about the cold chips which he got replaced, for another bowl of cold chips. Not good at all.

This hotel makes Faulty Towers look like the Hilton . Its dirty , run down to the extent it should be pulled down well its half way there ! please please don't go . If you need to experience this kind of holiday try one of the many war zones . ps the staff are good .

the food was cold every one complained but nothing was improved.Very old hotel lic of paint wont go amiss.only one lift for three bus loads of people.It took one hour & half to have all food served.rooms were clean,To many people staying in same hotel staff could not cope,

The view from the bedroom was the best thing about the hotel. But the room was so dated! Don’t know if it was just our room but It really needed a refurb (as shown in the pictures) it really let it down! Also the room wasn’t cleaned properly from the last people that used it as my 8 year old daughter found an empty bottle of brandy under our bed and our hand wash dispenser was empty. The food was ok, but the service was terrible! And I think half the dining room will agree! One night we waited nearly an hour for our main course for my food to be cold when it came! One lady we found the friendliest who worked in the bar. She was lovely and chatty. Didn’t get her name. Oh and one last thing this hotel does not cater for children! When we got there they did give them a little goodie bag with bubbles, little puzzle book and little toys which was nice but my 7&8 year old became very bored with this quick and that was it, no games room, entertainment was strictly for older people. I really felt like my children stood out a mile! So If you’re thinking about booking with kids I’d give it a miss! I won’t rush back in awhile, maybe when I’m in my 70s!

We didn't stay here but by chance asked if the bar was open to non residents. (Stunning building BTW) Greeted by the wonderful Carmel who told us it is. As a large family group celebrating a birthday we spent the afternoon listening to some great music and chatting/drinking. We went for a meal then came back about 9.30. Played bingo and listened to the singer. We had a great family night and cannot thank Carmel enough for making us SO welcome. What an amazing asset you are to this hotel.

what a lovely hotel we have been here before and it is some much improve the manger Oliver and he's team do a great job always happy and just lovely people. The food is very good the hotel very clean and wow the new rooms are so well done we feel like we are staying in a 5 star hotel this is one of the best teams we have seen in your Weymouth hotels in a very long time..

We have just had a coach trip to this hotel. Our room was in a good situation for my husband’s mobility problems. The room was clean but needs updating and decorating. The food was generally adequate with good choices. However it was often only warm and not to the standard we have had at other Daish hotels. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Our main concern was the lack of hot water in our room. We managed to have 1 warm shower whilst there, the rest were tepid or cold. We resorted to boiling the kettle for hot water for washing. Staff informed us that it was an old building with old plumbing! We wouldn’t return to this hotel.
