York South West

Stayed many times over last 30 years at premier inns, and many at York southwest. staff always friendly and helpful. what would be a great addition to southwest inn ,is some outside seating .

Room was spacious and immaculately clean. We were advised that room was not automatically serviced as we were staying 2 nights but we could request it. Beds were comfy, shower was hot. Staff were fabulous- like the idea of requesting what items you want for a full cooked breakfast as must save on food waste. A great stay, would definately return

We haven't stayed here, but we have been for dinner and breakfast twice and we absolutely love coming here. Will who works there, is brilliant, was fantastic at playing a good joke on our 15 year old and is always really useful with information and happy to have a nice chat. Great character and a major asset to Premier Inn

Had a poor night's sleep due to excessive road noise caused by a faulty window frame. Thought the window was open and discovered a large gap between the frame and the wall. Reported the issue to reception and was advised to raise it as a complaint with customer services. Received a reply almost 3 months later telling me they have no control over road noise, but failed to address the main area of concern which was a faulty window. Replied and told them I except some road noise disruption as most premier inns are located near a main busy road, however the noise was magnified by a window which sounded like it was open all night. Still awaiting a response!

Big shout out to Katie and Eve! We had to make a last minute stop at almost midnight, Katie was manning the desk, and she went above and beyond! She assisted with the booking and amended the room to help us cater for my family including young children. Then in the morning ensured we made it in time for breakfast! Eve was then brilliant alongside Katie at breakfast. 10/10.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times, it’s our go to York stay when we come as a family. It’s quiet considering the location, a five minute drive to a park and ride to get into the city centre. We were booked nearby for a car driving experience for our son so perfect location for all we had planned. We checked in before 3pm, the room was ready but we had to pay £10 early check in to access the room. It was just before 2pm and seemed slightly unreasonable but after a 3 hour car ride on top of an early shift for my husband who just wanted a shower at this point we paid. The lady in check in was lovely, a pure credit to the hotel, so friendly, chatty and she remembered us and our son at breakfast the next morning which was lovely. Even nicer was the Easter egg and card she left him in our room whilst we were out, beyond thoughtful. Breakfast was standard premier inn breakfast, you really can’t go wrong. Though there was no beans, who has a cooked breakfast without beans! The boiled egg was perfectly cooked though. We slept well, we had a great stay, service was outstanding. Thank you.

The vegan options for breakfast was wholly inadequate. Already very little options in relation to the ‘continental’ options. So was left with cereal/fruit/porridge or toast. The ‘bacon’ was not just over cooked it was nuked. The vegan sausage was produced in a way that I could only presume it had been ‘introduced’ to a microwave or just left in the sunshine to cook. As a long time vegan, it’s not hard to prepare the basics and that fact that the cook managed to destroy these products and then had the gumption to send it out shows so much about Premier Inn trying to jump on the wagon of vegan/plant based just because it’s ‘the thing to do’. As a vegan, I strongly suggest that Premier Inn remove any reference to plant based or vegan from your menu until you understand how to do it properly.

My mate had a flat tire in the carpark opposite, a very approachable and nice man called will took time out of his day to charge our phones for us and he was very very friendly, inside looked very nice and tidy, would highly recommend if your in the area
