The Bell Hotel, Saxmundham

Superb dinner at the Bell for my Dad's birthday. The best gnocchi I have ever had, absolutely delicious flavours. Generous sized fish and chips for Dad. The food here is amazing! Such warm and welcoming staff, who went above and beyond to help my Dad feel special on his birthday. A really lovely place to come to. Thank you so much to all of the team - I can't emphasise enough how great the service was here - lovely lovely people.

I held a business event at the Bell across two days which included use of their accommodation, facilities and their restaurant. Matthew and his team were so attentive, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Every single guest I had at the event was amazed by the service they received, from the rooms, to the food and the interactions they had with the staff. Without a doubt I believe everyone will return to the Bell following their positive experience during the event when they next need accommodation and I will not hesitate in returning if/when I host another event. Personal thanks to Matthew and his team, including the Chef and kitchen staff for the incredible food and amazing service throughout the last two days. The Bell is an absolute asset to the local area!

Such a beautiful hotel, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our lunch was excellent, delivered quickly and well worth the money. Will definitely go again! The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the rooms are tastefully decorated. My new go to hotel in Suffolk x

I went to The Bell for my birthday and got to experience the amazing seven course tasting menu. In addition, we were hosted in the private dining room for an extra special treat. The food at The Bell was fantastic, with some really innovative dishes. The atmosphere was really cool and the service was perfect. I would highly recommend visiting The Bell.

We stayed at the Bell for 2 nights for a friends wedding. The staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful. We took the opportunity to have a long bike ride in the beautiful area and the hotel were really helpful suggesting a route. The room was fantastic with a lovely bath. We also had some very good fish and chips

We went to a nearby wedding at bruisyard and stayed at the bell hotel. We were a group booking of 6 rooms. Staff made you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive at check in to showing you where to park. Food was of high standard with some of our party eating dinner on the Friday all enjoying their meals. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the staff made you feel nothing was a problem and you were important to them. The bar area can become full, they encourage you to use the seating and offer waiters service to ensure the bar is not overcrowded. Rooms spotless and decor as the photos show. We all would recommend the hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay in the area.

As per other reviews, this is a lovely, friendly hotel. The decor and furnishings are great, a comfy bed and immaculate bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was superb as was dinner and the reasonably priced wine. The staff were very friendly and informative, especially Sharon who provided tips on where to visit and the best places to park. Overall an excellent stay and great location to explore the local area. Thank you for looking after us.

This stay was amazing, room was good value for money. Room was perfect temperature on arrival. Food was amazing as always. Service second to none. We have used this hotel often recently as we are moving to Saxmundham from Essex and this has been the perfect base to work from. Thank you for making a stressful time so much easier.

We booked this as a last minute trip, and The Bell was a fantastic choice! Fabulous welcome and service by Matthew and the team. We shall be back.
