Very nice place. With many tourists points nearby, basically in a walkable distance. Clean and nice service. Even we just stay for one night, but we will definitely choose it again if we come here again.

A great location and friendly service but need more bathroom facilities.

Я и мой друг приехали в Загреб из Будапешта, и как только мы зарегистрировались в нашем номере, я был уведомлен о том, что AirTag отслеживал нас на протяжении всего пути, и я был довольно точно в нашем местоположении. Тщательно обыскав наши сумки и не обнаружив никаких AirTags, мы подошли к стойке регистрации и объяснили ситуацию мужчине за стойкой. Я никогда не чувствовал такой снисходительности и отсутствия сострадания, когда говорил с кем-то о беспокойстве о личной безопасности. Мы упомянули, что прямо перед нами зарегистрировался другой член общежития, который, как мы полагали, ехал по тому же маршруту, что и мы, и, возможно, у него был собственный AirTag для отслеживания его вещей. Чтобы исключить все возможности, мы попросили администратора связаться с этим человеком от нашего имени, чтобы подтвердить, так ли это. Администратор, казалось, пренебрежительно отнесся к тому, что об этом стоит беспокоиться, и поэтому не хотел связываться с указанным человеком. Однако после того, как некоторые из нас подтвердили наши опасения за безопасность, он, наконец, согласился связаться с этим человеком, однако попытался получить от нас подробную информацию, чтобы связаться, и проинформировал нас о результате ситуации, однако я оставил свой адрес электронной почты и спросил, могу ли я быть обновлено, хотя с момента инцидента прошло уже несколько дней, а мы ничего не получили. В заключение хочу сказать, что сам хостел был не так уж и плох: кровати были в порядке и выглядели достаточно чистыми, в ванных комнатах не было ничего особенного. Само здание также представляет собой довольно схематичное здание без работающего лифта и с небольшим освещением - здание на самом деле довольно сложно найти. Не рекомендую.

I have always had this thought about how hostel would be and I would prefer hotels over it but at the end, it was a perfect experience! Situated 1 minute away from Main Square and surrounded by shops, restaurants, sights in short walking distance, and tram stations. The rooms are neat and clean, Wi-Fi is great. Worth every Euro!

Everything in this hostel was near perfect. It was clean, spacious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and it is a very simple self serve breakfast but has everything you’d need. The bathrooms were not perfectly clean but definitely clean enough. The location is really right in the center of town, just steps away from tons of restaurants and a tram stop.

I booked a double room with balcony and private bathroom months ahead my visit to zagreb. One month before our arrival, after we'd booked and paid for tours and taxi rides to and from their address, they were rude enough to force us to cancel the reservation with a lame excuse, offering accomodations with shared bathrooms. We cannot recommend accomodations that ruin visitor's plans and budget like they did. Awful, embarrassing, unforgivable, so watch out! Main Square Hostel isn't trustworthy.

The staff are lovely and did an amazing job accommodating our group of 25 people for our badminton tour. They were always very friendly, offering to set up games and the TV for us in the common room. We booked 5 private dorm rooms, which were clean, modern, and spacious. The breakfast was very good (considering that it was free!) and consisted of toast, cheeses, meats, fruit, salad, cereal, tea, and coffee. Bathrooms were clean and towels were available to rent for a very reasonable price. The location of this hostel was a real highlight for us, being right in the city centre and a walking distance from landmarks, shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs. I would highly recommend this hostel if you are looking for affordable accommodation, particularly if you are going on a group holiday with friends. Many thanks from the Hawks Badminton Team!

Other than it is a challenge to find as it was tuck-away, Uber won’t drop you off right in-front of the hostel, you will still do some walking. The video on how to get there is a must to watch. Hostel was clean and free breakfast is a plus. But one separates this one is the proximity on all the major sites. It is literally few steps from the main square and super easy to get around on foot. I wish they add a mirror in the room though. I thought it weird to not have that.

MainSquare Hostel is located really central & you can reach all off Zagrebs’ sights from the hostel on foot. Whenever, the tram stops nearby the hostel. The price-performance ratio for my two night stay (4-shared room) was perfect. Only one thing were not good: It was really noisy/loud in the evening.

Very tidy and clean throughout. Excellent customer service from staff. Personable approach from staff. Always on hand to help and give local knowledge and advice to have a great time in Zagreb. Very comfortable hostel.

We may have been older (50’s) than the usual crowd but we were made to feel very welcome. Very comfy, clean beds and good size lockers for our bags. Showers and loos clean, would have been handy to have more hanging space in the actual showers. If you are tea drinkers take some teabags with you but breakfast provided. Brilliant location to stay. Would definitely stay again.

The hostel is clean, beds are comfy, and staff were lovely. A small breakfast selection is also available which was a nice touch Very warm in the rooms, and the main square outside can be a little loud on some evenings, but this place makes the perfect rest stop
