Location is a bit remote. Apart from this, the hotel is excellent. The balcony of my room could durectly see Mt. Matterhon. The breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful space and wonderful homely environment. The walk to town is a bit far if you have young kids with you.

房間很大很乾凈，傢俱都是木質的，很温馨。陽台能直接看到馬特洪峯，方便看日出和藍調。離viewpoint也非常近，走路五分鐘。一層餐廳和沙發區也設計得很好，下午可以坐着曬太陽。

景觀非常漂亮，L型的陽台超大的，適合多住幾晚的好渡假飯店，但廁所嫌小了點，空氣無敵清新，但離火車站計程車費就要24瑞朗很貴，找餐廳吃東西最不方便，早餐東西很少，只有景觀是無敵美，直接可以清楚看到馬特洪峰。

If you are looking for a nice, charming little place to stay in Zermatt, away from the crowds, I can only recommend the Alpenlodge. It was my second stay there, and it was perfect again. Great service and friendly staff. Little SPA with sauna and hammam, just want you need after a long skiing day. Thanks for the upgrade :). See you soon, Mr A. Huber

The manager/owners are wonderful. The hotel is as mentioned by other reviews a “5”. Problem: this is my view. I have some mobility issues and need to rest in my room today. The most magnificent views in the world are in Zermatt but this is what I have to look at. My issue is it wasn’t disclosed ahead of time, I would have paid extra for a better view

If you’re fortunate enough to have clear weather, Matterhorn views here are spectacular. Taken together with the charming handmade furniture, private terrace, complimentary ride from the train station, and fresh breakfast every day; it is so Worth the extra few steps from town!

We had a lovely stay at Alpenlodge. It's a boutique hotel so it's quiet and the staff is great. The rooms were clean and the furniture all through the hotel is so nice, much of it handmade. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good but the presentation was even more amazing. The way they serve everything is so quaint. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. As others have mentioned, it is up a hill so you will always have to walk up and down, but they do offer a taxi from the train station when you have luggage. We also enjoyed the Zen Spa (sauna, steam, meditation room).

Perfect south facing location overlooking the town of Zermatt with unparalleled views of the Matterhorn. In the winter you have sunshine on the balconies up to 4 pm. For views and sunshine this definitely the best area of Zermatt. It’s only a few meters away from the official Zermatt viewpoint, which should tell you all you need to know. The service has been great and all the staff are super attentive all the way. Breakfast with local delicacies is great as well as the sauna and steam bath facilities. The taxi pick up service to the hotel from the train station makes for a very smooth arrival. The same applies when you are leaving. Zermatt is car free so you have to walk a few mins into town to go to a restaurant or visit shops but we actually enjoyed those little walks. In the winter you can ski in but you have to know exactly where to leave the piste. Once you know it it’s easy. All of the premises feel well put together and solid, good materials. We can really recommend this place!

Alpenlodge is a nice little hotel in a wonderful quiet location. Inside the lodge, it's very clean and well equipped with elevator to reach guest rooms. Walking to center of Zermatt town only takes minutes. Staffs are very kind and help to arrange transportation to/from the town as needed and with a huge discount. We could feel the staff's kindness way before our arriving. Questions answered with no delay. From the unit we stayed, I believe most of the units in Alpenlodge, overlook Zermatt town with Matterhorn in the center background. Bathroom is nice and clean with heated floor. Breakfast is decent with many different choices. We definitely recommend this place to stay when visiting Zermatt.

We had the best stay at the Alpenlodge in Zermatt. The looking is great and the hotel has everything you need. We made a lot of use out of the welness which made us super relaxed after skiing the entire day. Thanks so much for taking such good care of us. We will be back next year for sure :)

The hotel is really up a long and winding upwards slope so if you are thinking that you could easily roll your luggages to this hotel, think again. Walking to and fro Zermatt is a pain and breakfast is basic. No complains about the room though. Booked a family room with a view of the Matterhorn and boy does it have good views of the Matterhorn! You just need to pray for good weather during your stay and you will be rewarded, although I am sure there are also hotels out there that provides views of the Matterhorn.

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche in der Alpenlodge verbracht. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön und mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet. Wunderbare Betten, traumhafte Aussicht auf Zermatt und das Matterhorn von den meisten Zimmern aus. Viel Stauraum, schönes Badezimmer, gemütliche Einrichtung und alles sehr gut gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Lobby mit Kamin ladet zum Verweilen ein und der Spa mit Sauna und Dampfbad ist dank der Grösse der Alpenlodge auch in der Hochsaison nicht überlaufen. Obwohl die Alpenlodge etwas oberhalb von Zermatt liegt, ist das Zentrum zu Fuss leicht zu erreichen und man ist auch schnell zu Fuss bei der Sunnegga Bahn. Das Frühstück ist grosszügig und mit vielseitig. Besonders zu erwähnen ist auch die Familie, die das Hotel führt und ihr ganzes Team. Alle sind unglaublich aufmerksam und äusserst liebevoll. Im eher teuren Zermatt ist das Alpenlodge mit den vernünftigen Preisen ein wahres Juwel. Wir können die Alpenlodge zu 100% weiter empfehlen und danken dem ganzen Team für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt.
