We thought this was one of the less interesting of the hells, but still fun and interesting. It was the second one we visited and we felt we were already getting jaded to the unusual thrill of bubblin...

We visited 2 of the jigokus (Yama and umi). Some Japanese do a pilgrimage of all the jigokus in Beppu. It was very hot as we got closer to the hot springs and amazing to see. Don't forget to try the f...
You can't use the common ticket for hell.
We bought a common ticket for the hell tour and went around the ７ hell in Beppu. There was a "mountain hell" just before leaving the sea hell. If you try to give me a common ticket as before, you can't use it. It was unclear why it could not be used only here. This mountain hell was a hell where hot water smoke rose from the rocks. Also, there were many animals, and it was like a mini zoo.
