10 minutes walk from Kamaishi station. A park on a hill beyond Kannonji Temple. There is a peace statue built to calm the spirits of the war victims, and since it is on a hill, you can overlook the city of Kamaishi and the sea. It seems to be a famous place for cherry blossoms, and when I visited (GW in 2017), the gate of the cherry blossom festival was set up, but unfortunately the cherry blossoms were almost scattered.
