The view was only faint because of the yellow sand and PM2.5. I think it looks better in autumn. According to the guide, if the visibility is good, you can overlook Unzen, Omuta, Takeo, Ariake Sea, etc. There is a road to the top observatory, but I think it is wise to walk at the end because it will be miserable if you climb by car and get off from the top.
