I would say a brilliant hotel to stay, just a bit far from the city! Excellent rooms, fully functional air conditioner. Enjoyed a lot our stay ! We stayed at weekend so restaurants was closed otherwise breakfast was fantastic.

Lovely place! Was beyond what i had expected! Staff are very nice. Situated in a nice area. Good night sleep with no noise from surroundings. Room was beautiful to stay in and quite modern too! I did not expect this at all. Will surely recommend.

Great location near m4 Junction

Situated just off the M4. Ty Magor is the budget option of the group of hotels operated by Celtic Manor. If you just need a clean, comfortable bed, soft towels etc, with convenient access to Newport, Cardiff or Bristol this is for you. The staff are helpful and breakfast is ok for £10 extra. I have stayed several times when visiting family nearby and it’s the first place I check for accommodation, as it provides good value comfort and convenience.

Soul-less place outside town in developing business park. Nothing around it, nowhere to eat. we were on top floor where apparently they had recently had bits blown off roof in mega-storm. we were disturbed all night by noises from roof as still strong winds from Bristol channel.

It was a random search and we had a great experience. We would highly recommend this hotel. High standard cleaninness and very helpful staff. Also cheapest hotel to stay😊

Breakfast was really bad. Save yourself the money and go to McDonalds instead. Hotel itself wasn’t that bad though.

Comfortable bed. Well appointed room. Poor design on bathroom sliding door that wouldn’t stay closed

Constant noise and lighting coming from vents above asked to move room exactly the same problem happened.

I have stayed here a number of times since it was built and over time I have noticed that it's becoming more dated each time I've visited. The most recent visit showed the room we were given had a number of maintenance issues (bathroom door not working, mold in bathroom). In addition, we asked to change rooms as there was a buzzing noise from outside the front door. When calling reception I noticed the phone receiver was also dirty. We were given a new room by the friendly staff but the replacement bathroom also had signs of mold in the bathroom/sealant issues.

Room and bed were very comfortable, a little bit of road noise from the motorway, but that’s to be expected given how close the hotel is to the M4. I would avoid the breakfast, it was a bit disappointing, the hash browns were soggy! Coffee was good tho! I would stay here again

Lovely staff, clean and well equipped room. The restaurant has the best Kajun chicken I ever had.
