The Barefoot at Havelock

We had a really good stay at Barefoot resort. Resort are in the middle of jungle close to the most beautiful beach on Havelock. Staff from the reception and the restaurant are really really nice and professional. The food is excellent, best food that we had in India, delicious. Thank you to the chef's as well for his time and recommendation.

Excellent resort by the beach, highly recommended. Peace and quiet, private access to the beach, far from the crowd. Very good restaurant and bar and very friendly staff. I would come back longer and participate in one of the forest walks to see the endemic wildlife.

Best place on Havelock island! Loved the location right in the forest behind Radha Nagar beach, the best one on the island. We loved waking up with the sound of birds and waves. The forest is magical and the staff is incredibly kind and thoughtful. We spent a couple of days also on another beach resort on the opposite side of the island, but nothing compared to Barefoot, this is the place to stay!

Fresh seafood, local delights, and international bites - they've got it all. Every dish is like a party in your mouth. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure. But what sets Barefoot apart is its eco-friendly game. They're all about sustainability without sacrificing the good stuff. Solar power, waste reduction – it's like they're giving Mother Nature a high five while you're sipping on a cocktail. And the location? Paradise found. Crystal-clear waters just a skip away, begging you to snorkel, do water sports, or just lounge on the beach. To sum it up, Barefoot at Havelock is not your average stay. It's an experience that hooks you from the get-go. Whether you're a luxury lover, a nature nut, or just need a break from reality, Barefoot nails it. It's like they bottled up relaxation and poured it into every corner of this place. And a big thanks to the F&B team and the crew here for setting up a surprise dinner table for us on our special occasion.

From the moment we landed at Port Blair till we flew back to India, Barefoot made our journey so comfortable which was absolutely beyond our expectations. We were very very much happy with our room, service, food, hospitality and the beautiful environment. And of course last but not the least the private beach (Radhanagar Beach) was breathtaking. Suggestions which I would like to give (which hardly matters as Barefoot has already touched the bench mark) are: 1) increase dishes in the food menu 2) room service 3) some kind of activities after sunset like Barbecue, some lights at the entrance of the beach so that people can still chill after the sunset etc. Thanks a lot Barefoot for making our stay so conformable, warm and memorable and thanks to my Husband who gave me this beautiful surprise. The BEST experience I have ever had! Having been to most beach locations around the world, I think it is safe to say that Barefoot by Havelock is a gateway to one of the cleanest beaches in India, and the world, with blue and emerald waters, lush forests full of exotic and endemic wildlife, and a very clean beach. Nobody on the beach but you and your loved ones for as far as your eyes can see! The Nicobari cottages are spacious and comfortable, adding to the living amidst the nature vibe. The service and hospitality are impeccable!! Absolutely loved chatting with all the staff members at both the main desk and the restaurant. Everyone is super efficient, kind, and lovely. We were especially impressed by Reuben, one of the staff members in charge of organising the wilderness activities. His exceptional service and delightful demeanour significantly elevated our experience. We went on a Bird Watching tour with him around the resort and his immense knowledge and expertise had us hooked! He was a very endearing host and made our stay worthwhile. Scuba diving was the highlight of our trip, definitely do not miss if you love adventure! Barefoot’s scuba diving team was very professional and made us feel very comfortable and ready as first time divers. The experience was phenomenal and left us having our own “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” moment. The restaurant is also quite lovely, great food, fast service, a bit pricey but has good portion sizes. All in all, definitely a 10/10 experience!

I am currently staying at Barefoot at Havelock and have serious concerns about the pathways connecting the cottages, dining area, and reception. Especially during monsoon, these pathways are severely waterlogged due to poor construction, making it impossible to walk safely to the dining area. The pathways are poorly lit and uneven, posing significant safety hazards. Many guests, despite being told that room service is only for infants and the elderly, have had to order room service because of the unsafe conditions. The pathways are very bad during the monsoon, making it impossible for elderly people to walk because of the pathways being poorly lit it us difficult to walk properly at night in any season

Excellent property with beautiful location on one of the most beautiful beaches. Courteous staff. Nicobari Cottages in the dense forest with continuous sound of chirping birds and cuckoos made it a blissful stay. Breakfast needs to be upgraded. How could you have spa in a non AC room with so much heat and humidity ! Please get the spa better ventilated. Special thanks to chef Prabeer, Trilolchand, Sachin (served us so well all throughout), Rubin (bird watching), Sandeep at the reception and Hari for overall co ordination. The scuba diving at their Barefoot scuba centre was just amazing. Thanks to Amit and team.

1)Location: I loved the location of this property, as it was a 2 minute walk from Radhanagar beach (voted one of the best in Asia). It is also just 2.5 kms away from the start of the Elephant beach trekking point; and just 5 - 7 minutes walk to the public bus stop. (It is about a 15- 20 minute drive from the Jetty) 2) Environment: Very nice forest vibe as the resort has taken care to maintain the flora and fauna in the area, and tried to retain as much of a jungle vibe as possible, ***** with all the modern amenities, to make your stay comfortable. 3) Very clean: The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, with fresh sheets, fresh towels, etc. The shower area in my room had a sunroof, which was a bonus. 5) Staff: The staff were very helpful and paid attention to detail. Sandeep at the front desk was especially welcoming and guided me about the resort. He gave me a lovely surprise at the time of check in and ensured that I have very pleasant stay. 6) Activities: There is a nice bar and some live music in the evening, which makes things very relaxed. The resort also organises other activities like tree walks, night walks, etc which guests can enjoy.
