The Oak Inn Staplow

We went for steak night supper on Thursday last week. Had the best steak, perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious! And the staff were all so kind, friendly and helpful. The pub was busy with a lovely a**osphere. A great evening all round. Thank you:-)

Thought pubs like this didn't exist anymore! Proper country pub with a lovely a**osphere. Food was excellent and service team couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend.

Room was very quiet and comfortable being in an extension behind the very popular pub. The bed was very comfortable and the room was light and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed for 2 nights and would happily return.

Had a wonderful meal here with my wife and daughter. I had the steak and kidney pie which was stuffed full of meat with a lovely crispy puff pastry top. Vegetables were nice and fresh and had to try the chips on the side , the exterior was crispy and nice and fluffy on the inside . My wife had the the pork belly which was absolutely delicious, the crackling was cooked to perfection and the apple cider gravy was full of flavour. Our daughter had the sausage and mash and completely devoured it which must mean it’s good 😊. Desserts we had raspberry pavlova, chocolate chip and banana cake with custard and our daughter had a brownie sundae which they made specifically for her which topped of the meal for us as a family. The staff were friendly and attentive which added to our enjoyable experience and the a**osphere was warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend and definitely will be returning again.

We had such a lovely time staying here. The staff were second to none. So friendly and made us feel incredibly welcome. The food is also wonderful - we had dinner and breakfast, and it was all delicious. Pro tip - get the sofa by the fire for maximum comfort and relaxation! Highly recommend staying here.

Stayed for two days over new years and had a great time. The owners were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were lovely and the breakfast was tasty. What more could you want!!! Thank you for looking after us so well xx

If ever there was a reminder not to book with corporate hoteliers, the Oak Inn is it. It's simply not possible to deliver the incredible level of personal service that the Oak delivers in a 50+ facility. From the moment we arrived, we felt like returning family (even though it was our first visit). The warmth, decor and ambiance of the pub was immediately relaxing. the ease of check in and not having to complete admin after a long trip, was superb and being shown personally to the room was fantastic. The facilities in the room were excellent and cleanliness, temperature control etc of the highest order. We had a superb Dinner in the restaurant and great early breakfast spot we could get on road, all attended to with friendliness and knowledge by the owners. We will definitely be going back and could not have been more impressed.

The friendliest pub we have stayed at, The food is as good as any top class restaurant, great staff ,great accommodation and great prices. This pub is dog friendly, if you dont like dogs it's not for you,Although you will get a great welcome, and the restaurant is dog free,but the bar is something else . It's just a brilliant place. We will be back .
