Check in had a massive queue. On check in they couldn’t find my reservation at first. The main lift was out of order, smaller lift (fits 2 people!) had such a big queue that we used the stairs. Not ideal while waiting on surgery for my legs. We then went to the restaurant, this was just after 4, but it was closed with no signs of it opening or information about hours. Went down to the bar. It was unstaffed and empty. We returned to the hotel that evening. The bar seemed to be staffed by the one staff member who was also on reception. So they were over worked, and frequently had to wait around to get drinks. The bar area also had multiple tables with glasses around, people with shoes off and feet up on chairs, who had been at the beach, and in general was really unpleasant. The next morning at breakfast we got seated next to an area that had bits of food all over the floor. Staff seemed to notice this, even sat someone right at that table, and still didn’t tidy any of it up. Was still dirty when we finished up our breakfast. Breakfast quality itself was fine, nothing great at all and not really worth the money. Even the orange juice was squash, not fresh. The room itself was fine, if you ignored the duct tape holding down the carpet between the toilet and room. Which was also coming away.
