A car is recommended.Within eight minutes of leaving the airport you will be sipping a cool drink on the white sand beach beside the emerald waters of Tar Bay. The bay is protected by a reef a mile away and the sandy bottom and shallow waters are safe for kids. The crystal clear waters are ideal for snorkeling and on a calm day kayaking is a must. The summer water temperature is 85 degrees. A short 8 minute drive east you will find the charming and friendly town of Georgetown, capital of this island archipelago of 3800 permanent residents. You will find everything you need for meal and drink preparation, satisfy your urge to shop at the straw market and boutiques and visit interesting historic sites.
