The Ryebeck Hotel

I've been coming to the lakes for 20 years stoping in various different country houses. The ryebeck was a old country house on the lake , when we entered I was pleasantly surprised ,it's like old meets new , east meets west . favourite entrance lobby , we had a cocktail in the giddy goose bar which was a absolute breath of fresh air for the lakes , very trendy , probably the best Sunday roast I've had in ages . Great tunes , fabulous staff ...this is 10/10 ...just what bowness needs , we sometimes get bored in the lakes ...not anymore ..I will definitely be back ..big thanks to jack who made sure our trip was memorable and head chef Antony he certainly knows how to clash the pans

The whole experience was wonderful .very friendly staff excellent food and very comfortable beds . I went with my daughter and grandchildren.the hotel is handy for all sorts of entertainment they enjoyed a zip wire and go ape in the trees boat rides on the lake all in easy distance from the hotel .we will definitely be going back.

Just had one night here, only live locally but just fancied a night away. Have visited before the refurb & delighted with what's been done. Funky decor that just works, restaurant has a view & garden terraces to rival any Bowness hotel. All members of staff courteous & attentive, room spotless, huge comfy bed, duvet & pillows just right. Ate in the restaurant & food was delicious & plenty of it. Breakfast was lovely. Will definitely be back. The Ryebeck is a fantastic hotel only 5 mins outside the bustle of Bowness & would highly recommend.

We decided on a trip to the lakes and stumbled across this beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting. Modern twist to an old building, we found the staff friendly, we had room 9 which had gorgeous views of the lake Windermere. The bed was most comfortable and nice soft bedding. We had a drink in the bar my friend and I ordered cocktails which were delicious, nice ombiance with music playing. Breakfast was surperb my eggs cooked to perfection. We struck lucky with the weather but look forward to returning in the winter months too. Jack was very attentive to our needs while staying all round 5 star. Great location and easy parking. Thank you the Ryebeck.

Where to start! Everything was absolutely perfect. We booked directly and spoke with Jack who booked us room 21. Lake views and a Juliet balcony! The room smelt amazing, the carpets were new and the bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. The location was perfect, a £4.50 taxi or a 15 minute walk. The hotel was beautifully finished, the decor, everything was spotless. The staff really couldn’t do enough for us and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you to everyone at Rybeck for making our rare night away from the kids one to remember!

Visiting this hotel this week, so will leave a review accordingly. Recently refurbished so high hopes 🤞 .Will be reviewing food, room, ambiance, cleanliness, value for money but most importantly customer service skills and expect top hospitality from the team.

We booked at the Rybeck for a Sunday Lunch, Wow what a difference, the food was excellent, the decor is fantastic, newly completely refurbished, so well done, the hotel has been brought completely upto date, the staff so friendly. Can't wait to go back.

A lovely country-house hotel on the outskirts of Bowness-on-Windermere. Location, the stay, staff, cleanliness and the food were exemplary making our mini-honeymoon a memorable trip! We had the ground-floor Superior room with a door that lead to the gorgeous views of the garden expanse and peek hole views of the lake Windermere. Waking up in the morning to the view as well as a Cuppa at the rustic garden table was just one of the highlights of the trip. Must tries: Their afternoon tea has a modern but much appreciated rendition to the classic version. Their fish & chips is another definite foodie high point. Low points: Very few to note but the reason for missing out on 5 stars. The building is slightly run down and it can be evident in certain places. The bathroom door in our room (room number 2) occasionally got stuck at the handle. Paint peeling off, poorly located charging points are some of the other drawbacks. Nevertheless, it was a lovely experience worth repeating even more so after their extended renovation due November this year till next July tentatively. Also a shout-out to Timi, who served us quite well and made the experience even more delightful.

On arrival we had the best welcome you could ask for ! Beautiful room over looking Windermere and only a few minutes walk to the shore. You can then walk into Bowness on a tarmac path. The restaurants look ok but we can assure you the best food you will find is in this restaurant! Excellent produce and skill produce food that is way above what you would expect. We would highly recommend this hotel !!!!
