This is not an 'exclusive' boutique hotel - it's way better than that. Charming property, nice modern decor - but also homely, comfortable and super friendly. A lot of that is down to the staff. We couldn't have been better looked after over our two-night stay. We tried the main restaurant and the bistro - both were very good.

The hotel is nice, food very limited. I didn’t like the dark rooms half the lights were not working. Too dark for me. The bed was lovely and slept like a log. Breakfast was ok but why a charge for a cappuccino bizarre! expensive stay not the cheapest!

Tricky one. Yes, enjoyed the stay, just about due to the very comfortable beds. Not up to expectations elsewhere in terms of value for money. Room was dark and sinks very low to the floor - perhaps its handicapped room (?) But this you are not informed of. Stayed two nights but room not made up/cleaned following day - is that normal when you're paying over two pounds per night now in the UK? Latte or Cappuccino for breakfast - that's extra - really ? Perhaps been in Asia too long. Hmm. Dinner average. Breakfast average. Service average. Beds excellent.

The whole place is very shabby and run down. 3 areas of the spa were put of use- not ideal when you are booking the spa package. The dinner menu was limited and does not cater for allergies dispute emailing the hotel before our stay informing them of this. The room we were allocated was not what we booked and was in a state of disrepair. No working lights and the handle on the bathroom door was missing so you could not close this at all. When speaking to reception I was told there were no other rooms available and were unsympathetic to the issues. It was only when I requested a refund did 2 alternative rooms magically become available. Breakfast service was poor and the selection of food available was limited and poor quality - toast was served stone cold didpute being the only people at breakfast. Not a great experience

The room was dirty, with lots of damp and mould found in multiple places. I found a hair tie with hair still on it, shower head covered in limescale, proving they don’t clean properly. When I raised the health concern of the room, the staff were unhelpful and insisted the room was fine, clearly just spraying Febreze to mask the stench of the room. The whole hotel is extremely rundown.

Worst ever! Dirty, overpriced, arrogant rude staff, dirty spa with cups everywhere and jets didn't work. Treatments were rubbish. What a rip off. Tacky. Management seemed incompetent with no people skills. We were very disapointed and felt we wasted our money as it was not what was advertised or the treatments we booked.

My partner treated me to a spa hotel stay here in September 2023 and little did I know that this would be the occasion he proposed to me. From start to finish the staff were faultless, the facilities were clean, and room we had was beautiful. We booked in for an evening meal and were treated like royalty. The food was delicious! After our meal the staff had set up a picnic area for us in the garden and my partner popped the question. The picnic area looked like something from a disney movie, just magical. The staff could not have done more for us on our stay and we will definitely be back. Great value for money, but best yet the team of people that made our stay the best day of our lives so far. The hotel facilities and grounds were lovely with a tasty yet limited menu. Our room was spacious and clean but in need of and update or few repairs. It would help to have the wi fi code in the room as well as receptions phone number. No milk was provided for coffee but it was provided when we went to reception. The spa was brilliant! Lovely stay.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Our children had bought us our stay with spa treatment each, dinner and breakfast included. The staff were all really helpful and friendly they appeared happy at work which always gives a nice vibe. Spa treatments (facial and massage) were really good. Food was excellent. Our standard room could probably do with a bit of an update, however this wasn’t a big issue to us. If you are a perfectionist it may not be the place for you.
