This hotel is amazing. We stayed in a superior room which, judging by other reviews, was a good shout. The room was not at all dated and the bed was amazing. It was an actual king-size bed, rather than two pushed together as I have found with many other hotels. The mattress quality was excellent and we had great sleep while we were there. The clothes storage was a bit limited, as mentioned in other reviews, however that was a small price to pay for the wonderful experience we had overall, and we made use of the suitcase stand so we were able to easily access our case. We used the open wardrobe for things we wanted to hang, such as shirts and dresses, and the drawers for other frequently used clothing items. The breakfast was nice, with a great selection so something for everyone. The view from the room was lovely and the balcony was peaceful. All of the staff were wonderful and helpful. A special thanks to Myra at reception, as she recommended us some great places to visit and was always lovely to speak to. Also the barman, Vasillas, was wonderful! He made us the loveliest drinks (shout-out to his mojito) and he was so lovely to talk to. We are missing the hotel and the staff and would go back tomorrow if we could! Thanks so much again x

The Hotel has very friendly staff but a few faults. No Tea facility in rooms, No water at Breakfast unless you payed. No Hotel bar opened we were told it was off season so only had small pool bar. A lot of Ants in my Bathroom, Bath Towels to small, Bathroom hadn't a shelf for Toletries. Not enough area for clothes only 1 drawer. Garden was lovely but area before you come onto hotel grounds needs maintaining.

Having stayed in this hotel for a week I am extremely surprised it was able to garner a rating of 4.4 on TripAdvisor. I've never left a rating on TA less than 5 stars but felt that people ought to know what we didn't. We are not luxury hotel stayers and we were well aware that this was 3* accommodation before going, but we were really disappointed by the hotel to the point where we actively avoided spending time in it. Pros: * Pool area was nice, tidy and quiet * Rooms were clean, cleaned every day * Staff were friendly in our limited interactions * Close to Gouvia town Cons: * The bathroom was ludicrously dated. We couldn't be in it at the same time. Shower over an old bath and a shower curtain, old fluorescent lighting that makes your eyes ache * The worst storage of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Seriously, it was genuinely unacceptable. Two bedside drawers you could fit a book/tablet in and a open wardrobe with one very small drawer. We were unable to unpack and had to live out of open suitcases (we had to move the room chair to the balcony to accommodate this as the room was so small). * Walls were so thin I could hear next door snoring every night, and anyone walking up the corridor speaking at normal volume would wake us. Old school key in wooden door for entry, which doesn't shut behind you. Again, unacceptable for 3*. * Breakfast was basic at best, little fresh fruit and tea/coffee was poor. * Bring a hairdryer, unless you want to spend half your holiday wrestling with the one on the wall. Asked at reception and they couldn't provide one.

If we could give this hotel 10 stars, we would. From our late night arrival and greeting by Miltos we felt welcome. The room, 202, was lovely, clean, spacious with a balcony overlooking the side garden and hills. Plenty of storage space in a double built in wardrobe. Fair size fridge for keeping the Retsina cold. The bathroom was small but immaculate, with a bath and shower. Breakfast is incredible, the choices are amazing, hot and cold food and variations daily to keep you interested and checking for something different. The 2 chefs we met were lovely and always spoke and smiled when greeted by us. They offered help and information on the different items we didn't recognise and were able to keep everything topped up so no one missed out on anything. The breakfast team, Katerina, Thomas, Thespina and Kristina were the most fabulous people and nothing was too much trouble and their kindness and help was much appreciated and we cannot thank them enough. Team you are amazing, keep doing your thing, you are the best. To Myra and Angie on day Reception, a massive thank you for all your help, and advice on places to visit which helped us have a wonderful time. To our lovely housekeeper, whose name I have missed, thank you for your hard work and not missing a single thing. We have not had service as good as this for a long time. The dining room is large and nicely set out and there is a covered area to have your breakfast on the way to the outside area if you don't want to sit outside on the gorgeous terrace under the Olive trees. Breakfast is served from 07.30 to 10.30 and the bar, on the terrace, opens at 10.00. There is a large lounge area to sit and relax and has books for guests to read. The decoration throughout is lovely and there is a relaxed feel about the place which is nice to experience. Without doubt from customer experience this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The only thing we would advise is it is quite a walk down a steep, curved hill and across a busy main road to get into the village but there are safe crossing areas. The walk back up will be a challenge to some but we had our mobility scooters so it was fun for us, both directions 😀. This hotel is perfect so if you are looking for a base to explore from, we cannot recommend the Paradise highly enough. Corfu Town around 20 minutes drive, Ipsos around 15 minutes, the beautiful Paloekastritsa about 30 minutes. Public transport is from the main road at the bottom of the hill but we had to use Taxis due to having the mobility scooters and had factored in the additional cost of this before we travelled. What a relaxing holiday we had! The hotel is very clean and the staff is kind and are always willing to help you. Especially Vasilas who made us a few cocktails, we had so much fun at the bar! He even made me an Espresso Martini which he never did before, but it was so good and his Mojito's were delicious! There are busstops close to the hotel, but we also reccomend to rent a car if you want to see more of Corfu. The view from the pool is also stunning!

Out of the centre of gouvia, a plus point for me but an easy stroll into town and close to bus stops for other places of interest. Room was clean and provided everything we needed. Pool and pool bar were lovely and for us, breakfast was included and offered ample choice to suit all tastes. Best of all were the staff all of whom were very friendly and efficient. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel

WONDERFUL HOTEL **** I can’t speak highly enough of my 10 night stay at The Paradise hotel. Despite arriving around 02.30 at night, I had a pleasant welcome from the night porter and was very pleased with my room, which was very well appointed with air-conditioning, tv, fridge and safe. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a little old fashioned but fine, and the balcony had lovely views of the Pandokrator mountain range and the lush gardens. The self-service breakfast which is served between 07.30 and 10.30, was extremely good with an extensive choice of hot and cold food. There were different types of bread, fresh fruit, fruit juice, cereals, and cake for those with a sweet tooth! A choice of coffee and tea was available. Everything was very tasty, well presented and constantly topped up. The service was excellent! The hotel is situated above Gouvia, the gardens are beautifully kept, the swimming pool, whilst not very large, is really nice and the well-padded loungers around it are very comfortable. As there are plenty of beautiful old Olive and Palm trees, there is a choice of being in the sun or shade. This area is served by the Pool Bar which is open from early afternoon until about midnight, and which serves hot and cold snacks during the afternoon, as well as hot drinks (including English tea!!!) and of course, juices, wine etc. Once again, the service is absolutely terrific – thank you Harris and staff for making my stay so enjoyable - afternoon tea every day! After a short walk down the hill to the main road there is a bus stop (No. 7 bus) almost immediately to the left, which will take you into Corfu town, or a stop opposite which will take you further up the coast. Gouvia itself has a lovely smallish beach from which one can walk along the waterfront past the Venetian Boat Yard (historic building remains) to Gouvia Marina etc. There are also a few nice restaurants and the usual gift shops etc. What made my stay at The Paradise so enjoyable was the excellent service I received from everyone. My room was spotlessly cleaned every day, all the staff were friendly and ready with advice, particularly the excellent reception ladies!. But above all, for me, the peaceful atmosphere and ambience of the place – hotel, gardens, and lovely views wherever one looked – made this visit so special.

Just home from the best weeks holidays, The hotel was the perfect location just bit of a hill you get used to it eventually 🤣🤣. The breakfast you couldnt fault plenty choices for everyone, lovely pool area fab views of gouvia. Lovely clean hotel with extremly friendly staff special mension to vasilias for the lovely cocktails and friendly chat couldnt be friendlier. The only downside are the small bathrooms and slightly dated rooms but big balcony. Overall great stay here very relaxed atmosphere lovely and quiet at night great nights sleep.

Visited on October 1st for 10 days with my wife. The staff were first class, special mentions to Myra (reception), Vasili and Harris. The place was kept spotlessly clean and tidy, the reception staff were extremely helpful with recommendations for visits around Corfu itself. Rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels, and kept clean and tidy. The rooms were compact but as I said very clean and tidy. Breakfast was good, loads of choice, hot and fresh, and all stocked well whatever time you went down for breakfast. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main resort, and there is a hill to com back up to the hotel, but its not too bad. Overall a great stay at this hotel, staff were 1st class, a lovely little hotel

The hotel was amazing, very clean , room spotlessly cleaned everyday , views amazing, staff amazing, a special mention to vasilas and Harris who made me and my partner feel so relaxed as all staff did , vasilas felt like he had become a true friend , legend

We have just returned after a fabulous one week stay at this lovely hotel. It was in a good location for us as we like to go out exploring and we were able to catch buses easily. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean and new towels and cleaned everyday. The breakfast was exceptional with so much to choose from. The staff were all so friendly and made us feel welcome with special mention to the reception and waiting team and our special friend, Vasilis ❤ who told us all about the Island whilst making our night cap. Very good. Lovely staff who were very helpful. Great catering breakfast Would recommend Good rooms. Good standard Walk past main road. Pool ok. Didn’t use bar. Breakfast sane every day but good. God location to use as base to get around island.

What a lovley hotel.... beautiful garden, spotless pool. Fresh towels and sheet every day. No charge for kettle or air con.... But most of all the people are just lovely and made our holiday so special. Special thanks to Harris who always went that extra mile. Will definitely return.

Excellent room, we stayed in upgraded room. Very clean hotel. Great bathroom. Staff lovely and pleasant. Batman in the evening especially pleasant man. Great breakfast and you could buy lunch which were excellent and good value. Gorgeous grounds and pool area. Up short hill not too bad though, made for stunning views. Would stay there again in a minute.
