The Olive Branch Inn

Welcoming, friendly, helpful, excellent food. We really enjoyed our stay, we were running the Pennine Way and so we were gone very early but the service was nothing short of fantastic, great garden to relax in. Thank you! Fergus and Jack Mitchell

We have dined and stayed over at the Olive Branch many times over the last 8 years and we have never been disappointed. The food has always been excellent, with a good choice of starter and mains and lovely desserts. What we particularly love about the olive Branch is the opportunity to stay over in their lovely boutique rooms. No one has to drive so we can all enjoy a great G and T or beer followed by a good selection of wines from their cellar, along with the meal The staff are always really friendly and it feels like coming home. Breakfasts are always good too, if you can manage it after a hearty meal ,the night before.We can highly recommend The Olive Branch for a meal and it is a great place to stay over too.

Enjoyed our stay here, had a lovely meal in the evening and breakfast was good too. Room was warm and comfortable. Foothpath from the hotel down to the canal towpath meant we could easily walk into Marsden and to Slaithwaite. Bet the beer garden here is lovely in the Summer (it was a wet February day when we were there!)

We were attending an event nearby, and dropped on this place at the last minute. The staff were super friendly and the room was very good, it comes with breakfast and that was also very good, a most enjoyable stay. The whole team were very accommodating. We didn't go for the restaurant and at this time of year it isn't open Monday through Wednesday anyway, so cannot comment on that but we did note the many positive reviews on that before we stayed, and if the breakfast is anything to go by the restaurant will be good too!

We stayed at the Olive Branch twice in the last month while visiting family. Cannot fault the accommodation, the friendly and welcoming staff and great food. Highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

Our first time here today, absolutely fabulous place, beautiful location, great views, a very warm friendly greeting , and a Gorgeous Room The most amazing meal in the evening. The fillet steak and sticky toffee pudding was the best I ever had! The whole team were lovely from our greeting to us leaving, especially the lovely young female staff who served us in the evening, they were so confident efficient and so nice they made our night, highly recommend

Stayed one night after a hard day's walking, and from being greeted by the convivial smile of the host through to a delicious meal we had a wonderful, happy stay! Breakfast was perfect the next morning - with a rare example of the perfect grilled tomato! Thank you so much!

Enjoyed our stay at the Olive Branch, lovely sized room. The shower was difficult to turn and water temperature was poor although to be fair it was so hot outside we only wanted cold showers. The pub/ restaurant attached was very good quality & this was also where breakfast was served. We filled in a form the night before for breakfast which we like as an idea as it avoids waste but personally I believe this was a missed opportunity & a more detailed form would have been impressive. EG list the items available for the full English & offer a choice of eggs. The staff were all lovely and very helpful with suggestions for walks & visits.

A really lovely place to stay. This is my second stay at the Olive Branch and I would definitely stay again if I'm in the area. The room I was in was very comfortable and a very good size. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendl;y and very keen to assisst if needed. One of the main benefits for me in staying at a small boutique hotel is the breakfast is freshly cooked and it was very enjoyable. Thank you
