Наша машина застряла возле отеля из-за сильного снегопада, один из сотрудников отеля очень помог нам расчистить дорогу от снега и отвезти машину обратно в отель, мы были так благодарны за его помощь, иначе мы не знаем, сколько времени нам понадобится, чтобы снова заставить машину двигаться. Он так беспокоился о нас, так как в день нашего отъезда тоже был сильный снегопад, он проводил нас вниз к горе, чтобы убедиться, что мы в безопасности. Весь персонал был таким милым, еда была фантастической! Вероятно, это был один из лучших впечатлений от отеля, которые у нас когда-либо были. Мы в восторге от времени, проведенного там!

Мы только что провели здесь две замечательные ночи, и все было идеально. Отель находится в милях от любого места, поэтому вам либо понадобится машина, либо воспользуйтесь автобусом-шаттлом отеля, чтобы добраться до ближайшей станции и обратно. Персонал очень дружелюбный и услужливый. Изюминкой стали традиционные японские блюда, подаваемые в отдельной обеденной зоне. Каждое блюдо (они продолжали поступать) — это замечательный новый «вкусовой сюрприз». Мы также арендовали частный онсен на час; еще один новый опыт. Если вам нравится, когда о вас хорошо заботятся, вдали от городской суеты, это для вас!

This was just what I wanted after a busy conference in Tokyo the previous week, just get away and relax for a couple of days before returning home. I waked from Magome to Tsumago then spent three nights here. The first full day was spent in the hotel just to get aches in my muscles from the pevious day's walk. The second day to do the Nagiso to Tsumago section. A lovely location miles from anywhere but with a shuttle into Tsumago or Nagiso twice each way means you can still get to see the sights or just relax enjoy the quiet, the trees and the onsen. The evening meals were different each night of my stay. As usual there were multiple courses and though not everything was to my taste there was always some stand out excellent dishes. Th salmon shashimi followed by the Wagyu beef steak were excellent indeed that whole meal on my third night was up there with the best such meals I have had in Japan.

What a wonderful experience! From the warm welcome to the farewell bows we loved every minute. Such beautiful hospitality, absolutely exquisite food, fabulous onsen including breathtaking outdoor spas with incredible views. All staff were so beautiful and friendly. We were made to feel very special. We loved the comfortable lounge with complimentary tea and coffee, chairs in the sunshine. We enjoyed our Japanese style sleeping arrangements although we probably would have been better with two futons under us, particularly after a big day on the Nakesendo!! But overall a terrific hotel with thoughtful touches everywhere. I’d go back!

We stayed here one night at the end of a walk along the Nakasendo way from Magome to Tsumago. The hotels shuttle bus picked us up. It’s about 20 minutes drive. I was given a choice of yukata to wear, but not my husband (as if he cared anyway!) We had a Japanese style room with a small balcony and after a delicious dinner in our own little dining cubicle, we came back to our room to find futons laid out on the floor. We didn’t try the onsen and unfortunately the private onsen was fully booked until 10pm. Breakfast was also Japanese cuisine. The serving staff were delightful. There is a guest lounge where you can help yourself to tea and coffee and newspapers. We were driven to the train station after breakfast. I’m not sure what other activities are available if you were to stay longer. One slight negative- the ensuite bathroom in our room was a bit dated. Overall, it was a great experience.
