Hotel Gurglhof Superior

Superontvangst met heldere uitleg van het personeel. Valet parking en de bagage werd naar de kamer gebracht. Restaurant meer dan prima met fijne bediening (Marcell from Hungary). Kamers zonder veel poespas en ruime badkamer. Afstand tot de lift bedraagt ongeveer 300 meter maar is te overzien. Wellness was mooi maar niet gebruikt. Ook een avond entertainment met live muziek!

Staff were excellent. Anita and Andras in the restaurant were superb. The cleaning lady saw me limping after a fall and brought me some creams to help! The food was great (snacks at 3pm too). Pool area really nice (more adult than child friendly). Couple of minutes walk to the lifts but most ski schools were based at the other end of town though there were some nearby. The bus that ran back and forth was efficient. Town itself didn’t have lots to offer. See you was the place of choice for other food/drinks. We received a snack bag for when we left before breakfast was served on the last day. Attention to detail throughout was great. It was warm inside though! I never wore more than a T-shirt even to dinner.

Great hotel! The food was amazing, the presentation beautiful. The service was impeccable, the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Half board was perfect here because the breakfast buffet had a great variety of options, and there's a snack buffet half way through the day which is perfect timing when you've been on the slopes all morning. The room was great, enough storage which i sometimes find a problem with in other hotels, a nice big balcony and comfortable beds. One side of the hotel faces out to a ski slope and the views are stunning to wake up to. The hotel is situated close to everything, 5 min walk to the nearest gondola, 10 min walk to the bus stop for other ski areas. The spa was great to hang out in after a long day of skiing. I wouldn't book anywhere else!

Amazing place to stay, relax and enjoy great slopes! The town it self is such a cute place full with bars, restaurants and aprés ski! What makes the stay completely different for us is the service and kindness of the staff. Since our welcome greetings, to a welcome drink, quick check in and room ready we felt at home from minute one. We also appreciate the help of the boys to help us with our luggage, bring it to the room and even accommodate our skis and boots in the respective rooms! The rooms are gorgeous, super modern, new, cozy at the same time! Súper facilities to make your stay amazing and memorable. The food is simple awesome, the dinner is incredible, 4 courses menus and each course is simply delicious! Congratulations to the chef and the kitchen staff! The breakfast is also incredible! The buffet is sooo good and huge and full with delicious choices! You are off to a great start with a breakfast like this! Special thanks to Peter who served us at dinner and breakfast, Peter you are so amazing thank you for everything. And of course 1000 thanks to Zsannet! We loved hanging out with you at dinner and breakfast as well! Daniel also! Thank you for all your attentions to my broken knee! To all the staff in general for the great memories. We will come back for sure! Thank you!

Just returned from a fantastic week’s stay in this hotel and we cannot fault anything! The room was spacious, the spa luxurious, ski and boot room conveniently located, main ski lift just a short walk up the road, breakfast and evening meals were delicious, there was also a good selection of cheeses, bread, soups, fruit and cake available each afternoon. The staff at this hotel are just exceptional! Every one of them (reception, bar, restaurant, spa, cleaners) that we encountered were friendly, welcoming and attentive. A special mention goes to Andras, Anita and Christina in the restaurant! Really lovely people who provided exceptional service. It was our wedding anniversary during our stay and they went out of their way to make our evening special! The same can be said for the bar staff, always service with a smile and it was a pleasure to sit in their company in the bar. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel, it is one of the best we’ve stayed in - we didn’t want to leave! We will most certainly be returning one day!

We spent a week here in a junior suite. The heat nearly killed us. We had to sleep with the bedroom door wide open ( which made the room too cold) and everywhere in the building there was this mind blowing heat. It made one feel ill. Must cost a fortune and is very unpleasant . The bedroom can only be described as spartan and at £530 per night was very expensive. No frills, A squeeze shampoo bolted to the wall, no shower gel, no conditioner . No mini bar, no bottled water and very few English TV channels that actually worked. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruit and dinner somewhat variable but excellent salad buffet with very fresh produce. Restaurant and bar staff were really superb. They all spoke English and all went the extra mile to provide superb levels of service. The hotel lacked a lounge with comfortable chairs and whilst the bar was fun it would have been nice to have somewhere comfortable to sit in the evenings especially as one needed to avoid going to bed early as it is too damn hot. If it hadn't been so unbelievably and unpleasantly hot I might have considered returning . It's also very expensive for such a draconian room .

An exceptional hotel. All staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble - I was injured so needed some extra cushions etc. The food is amazing with meat, fish and vegetarian choices every night. The access to boot/ski rooms and outside is so simple and close to the lift. Such a good hotel we are hoping to go back. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

We have just booked into the apartments and our package includes access to this hotel. Reception were not aware of the package and seemed to pull a negative face whenever we asked a question. We tried to get an early supper tonight and again were made to feel a nuisance. Lots of pained faces! Then they declared they were fully booked. Thankfully we walked up the road to PicNic who couldn’t have been more welcoming and tge good a delicious Austrian delight!

I was very impressed with this hotel, everything was easy. The room, location next to the slopes and the hire shop, food was very good, I especially liked the 3-5pm buffet but breakfast and dinner also very good meaning you didn’t need to have lunch on the slopes. The spa was excellent. All staff were very good and a special mention for Anita who was very helpful throughout.
