Norseman Resort on the Beach

Motel still under lobby reconstruction. Most room work completed. Upon arrival the gentlemen in parking lot, was extremely helpful and pleasant to arriving guests. The views are awesome from rooms. A little pricey, but oceanfront. The breakfast downstairs was wonderfully ,,(paid,not included,) and the servers were very nice and accommodating. Nice overall stay.

The Norseman is a nice clean place to stay. HOWEVER, they let someone else check in under my name. They did not check her ID or credit card before they gave her MY room keys that I paid for. This person was allegedly a friend that had booked her own room for Saturday night, but decided to show up Friday to surprise me. Not cool. Saturday morning came, along with the storm- so we were flooded in and could not leave until the tide was receding. I checked out a day early since I did not feel safe staying there. Safer check in policies need to be in place. A waste of $500.00 for one sleepless night stay.

We had no hot water in the morning and the front staff said "a lot of people must have been taking showers today". Well, most people shower in the morning and the check out time is 10am. Not a good answer when you are paying this rate for one night.

The room was beautiful. My only complaint is that the fireplace didn’t work right. We were able to light it once and then turned it off because it got too warm and weren’t able to relight it. Other than that, it was perfect.

Gorgeous property..our room was fabulous..clean and quiet...great location for walking to anything..super friendly front desk staff....! We enjoyed it so much , that we already booked for our Spring trip..!

Our room was right directly on the ocean closest I’ve ever been rooms have been totally remodeled and absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone good job you guys.

My husband and I stayed Saturday - Monday and it was wonderful! We were celebrating our anniversary and stayed in the Sundowner building with a full view of the ocean. It was spectacular! The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of fresh linens available. The staff was kind and courteous at all times. We loved every minute of our stay!

Dunes Room 112 October 23, 24, 25. I love the Norseman and have been going for 16 years. The remodel of the rooms and bathrooms is wonderful. The new vinyl outside looks great- the color and the shingle style Suggestion: TV in the room : please note on it that you have to turn to Channel 99 to see the guide. The remote does not function for the guide. The front desk was helpful with that. Also, the TV in the bathroom is great but channels are different- these should be listed /noted somewhere. The first year you stayed open for the winter you had a $99 per night special. Would love to see that offered as a special for New Year's 2024! Access to the beach from the Dunes Rooms is wonderful. It would be helpful if a rail could be put on one side for going down and then back up.

We have been coming to Ogunquit for over 25 years. Initially we stayed at other places that friends had recommended. When our kids were older we started coming to the Norseman. Since then we have stayed in numerous different location on the resort. This year we stayed in the Beach Street building for the first time, room 419. It far exceeded our expectations, very well appointed, and was high on comfort! We especially loved the sunny balcony with a breeze all day, view of river, beach, and the marginal way... ideal for people watching.
