We had cocktails and ate in the restaurant here a number of times during our stay in Philly. What a superb place. Great staff who were really efficient, professional and friendly. Cocktails were excellent....especially the Old Fashioned...they have a lot of Bourbon's to chose from! And my wife loved the Bees knees. They have a really cool Oyster and cocktails happy hour and the Pizzas are excellent. We also had the best Caesar Salad I've ever had, Thanks so much to all the staff for making this place so great and us feel so welcome

A gorgeous newly renovated place in a great location but I can't recommend until they get the soundproofing between rooms fixed. I had zero issues with road/city noise (expected for location!) but for me a hotel has one job to do: to create a safe space for guests to enjoy peace and privacy and this is not achieved here. The walls are uncomfortably thin. In fact I would go so far as to say that the connecting rooms (King rooms + bunkbed rooms ) should *never, ever* be rented to unrelated guests, they are so intimate it feels like you are sharing. Even in the non-adjoining rooms it's an issue. I would expect to hear loud TVs etc from neighbors, but here you can hear your neighbor making sounds as quiet as raising their blinds.😬 There's no front desk, just unlock with a code a la Airbnb. I like that in theory but I wonder if it puts a burden on the restaurant staff. During dinner we saw the chef working really hard to help a family with their room problems. She probably should have just been cooking. Also late at night, it's hard to feel great about the fact that you are living super close to multiple strangers with no front desk or security around, and when you hear people purposely talking to you through the walls, as we did, it feels creepy to know there is no security on site to intervene. To their credit, the staff did answer our texts promptly and kindly, & moved us, although we had to downgrade to a much smaller room as apparently all the Kings are the connecting type. They did refund the difference in room size/cost & gave us dinner. And we learned the non-adjoining type of rooms are also quite poor on soundproofing. Pity because the hotel is so cute, the location is unbeatable and the restaurant food and staff were enjoyable. I hope they can fix the issues with privacy and security.

This isn't a "traditional" hotel experience. For starters, there isn't an elevator, so pack accordingly. The thermostat is defaulted to off and you have to push a button on the top right to turn it on. No front desk, but there is a number you can text, and I did a couple of times and received prompt responses. Friendly bartender staff, but then they got busy and I got ignored. There were a couple of hairs in the bed that weren't mine, and a stain on a sheet. Speaking of the bed, it was hard as a rock. The location can't be beat though. It's walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, a 7-11 and a CVS.

I had an awesome time at the restaurant and bar in the Society Hill Hotel. The food was seriously delicious, with unique dishes that had a fresh, local twist. The vibe was super chill and inviting. Perfect for hanging out with friends or a casual date night. The drinks were on point too, with a great selection of craft cocktails and local beers. If you're in Philly, this spot is a must-visit!

We’ve been to the restaurant several times now. Each time the food and service has been excellent. Specialty drinks and pizzas were amazing. Great atmosphere in an awesome location. We’ll be regulars for sure and can’t wait to stay at the hotel in October.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel this past weekend, and enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. It is located in a great area with many historical sites, and restaurants within walking distance. There is also a nearby subway station (blue line - that runs along Market St). There is no 'front desk', so the restaurant staff will assist you with anything you need - and they needed to assist us with getting into our room because we were having trouble with our keycode. They were very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed going to the restaurant a few times during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

The location of this hotel is great for olde city Philly. And, thank you Mike and Brian for making this a gem in olde city sparkle again! Love this building. Great to see it back and looking beautiful! Had breakfast. Which was great. Love the pizza oven. Can’t wait to go back for dinner!

The hotel and restaurant have been fully renovated and restored beautifully. Lovely menu in the first floor bar and restaurant. So happy this space is back. Congratulations. The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended the Crab Cake sandwich and pizza.
