Hotel Lipa

Feel very lucky to have stayed here, if you go to Brac island, please do visit picture perfect Postira and absolutely stay at the family run Lipa hotel. The team running things at Lipa are lovely and so much careful thought has gone into creating this small and friendly hotel. I would have been happy to go here on honeymoon once upon a time, but our visit included teenagers and they loved the unexpected luxury oo. The rooms are generously sized - we had one with a balcony over looking the bay which was just lovely. The photos when we booked didn’t do justice to all the lovely aspects of this place - gorgeous seating options with views from every part of the place. Location is marvellous - we were travelling around via public transport and the location was a short case-drag from the bus stop and close to lovely bars and restaurants around the harbour and great for exploring Postira from. The sea here is so clear you will want to wade into the shallow waters for a swim and there are a couple of different pebble beaches to enjoy as well as swimming directly opposite the hotel, kayaks and boats to hire. Great for discerning families with children too - lots of clean safe places to play, explore and have ice cream. Enjoy!

We’ve been to the restaurant and cafe of the Lipa hotel for many years and have enjoyed the excellent service, food and most importantly the stunning views. However it is a shame that this seaside town has recently been so excessively developed with a huge hotel and equally enormous neon sign looming above it, spoiling the ambience. Interesting choice of name too. 😂

A totally charming small hotel in a gorgeous village. You can literally cross the (car-free) road from the property and swim from a small beach. The hotel is run by lovely people. There are loads of little coves and villages nearby to explore. The place actually looks better than the pictures suggest! We were very sorry to leave for part 2 of our Croatian holiday which was on the mainland and nowhere near as lovely as this.

We had a wonderful holiday at Hotel Lipa the last week of May 2023. Spacious room with balcony overlooking Harbour, directly over the water . Excellent breakfast and fresh fish dinners. Helpful staff. Stoney beaches but just over 4 kms magical walk by the sea, with beautiful wild flowers is a sandy beach at Lovrecina which can only be described as a little piece of Paradise. There is a beach bar and restaurant there also owned by the family of Hotel Lipa

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The breakfast is very good, the room comfortable and clean, and the sea view from the room is spectacular. It's location too is also excellent, with hardly any traffic and noise. The hosts are both friendly, helpful and nothing too much bother, as they make you feel comfortable and welcome. If we were to have any criticism, it would be that the wi-fi is poor, and there is no kettle or tea and coffee facilities in the room, but you can get a hot drink at a charge downstairs. We will definitely return to this hotel again without hesitation Thankyou very much for helping making this holiday superb for us.

Coming here we have already seen a review that everything is great, good breakfast the staff is great, the rooms are ok, but the dinner is poor. I have to admit as much as I believe the reviews on the tripadvisor I thought someone overdid it, but its not.We had dinner for two days and I really don't want to comment on it, because it's an extremely bad dinner and everything around it. But we decided to communicate it and we got such a nice impression they really care about the guests and are so kind, they have some problem with the kitchen because they have outside guests also at dinner and they said that from next year maybe will have only bad&breakfast , and you can eat in restaurant or anywhere in the place, the prices of drink are more than normal in hotel. No matter,to us it is wonderful here and I feel comfortable like at home, the a**osphere is warm, everyone is smiling and they are kind. We will definitely come back here and I want to recommend it to others, it means a lot to me when you tell someone that something is not good and they really try to correct it, so I give a good rating to the hotel. I much prefer smaller hotels like this, they have a soul! the conclusion is that dont take half board, everything else is excellent!

Hôtel bien placé, belle vue sur le petit port. Pour avoir séjourné dans d’autres hôtels 4 étoiles en Croatie, celui-ci en vaut 3 et non pas 4. Petit-déjeuner identique chaque jour et sans effort de vrais produits régionaux, odeur de cuisine dans la chambre, réfrigérateur bruyant (pas isolé comme ils le sont généralement), ni thé ni café à disposition. C’est dommage car il y a du potentiel pour faire beaucoup mieux.
