Cartesiano Boutique & Wellness Hotel

This is a quiet, clean and elegant hotel, well located. This was not our first stay in this hotel. What a disappointement when we realized that we were given a connecting room, which we neither needed nor asked for. Yet, the hotel was not full and we had booked our room three months in advance. When we expressed our concern to the reception, that there would be a noise problem, the lady told us that the adjacent room would not be occupied during our whole four-night stay and she would not move us in a non-connecting room. Of course, the second night we could not sleep because the room was indeed uccupied and the noise was obviously coming through. When we asked to be moved the next morning, the persons at the reception started mentioning that we may be charged extra fees for a non-connecting room. They finally moved us without extra fees but they should have moved us the first day. Instead, the lady at the reception had lied to us when she said the adjacent room would not be occupied. We were returning clients, having booked a four-night stay, three months in advance. For a luxury hotel, this situation was very disappointing.

This is a beautiful property with a great spa. The people providing the services are true professionals. This hotel is located in Puebla. We arrived on a Sunday & the hotel did not inform us that practically every museum & most churches are closed on Monday so our stay fell short of expectations. In addition, I booked the pricier room for 4 people in case I took my 13 year old son & once we got there I was charged an additional $140 by the front desk. It was not negotiable because of that I will never stay there or recommend it to families. Sadly some of the other guests of the hotel fell victim to crime. Be careful.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful and uniquely designed properties I have ever stayed in from guest rooms to restaurants to public areas/ heath spa and pool/ bar. Their # 1 asset was their personable, knowledgeable and professional staff. A wonderful and pleasure experience

Best hotel by far from all the hotels I booked through ******* for my Mexico trip, staff was very courteous and helpful, 1st time ever a hotel gave us an upgrade , hotel was very well located , very clean , room was so spacious , totally loved it . Passengers will not go wrong staying at this hotel

The property is wonderfully done, the staff were helpful and very personable, the bedroom and bath spacious and beautifully appointed, and the location terrific. I loved my stay and was very glad i chose Cartesiano - though i didn't access the wellness features which are a central feature of this hotel. A couple of minor quibbles - a little more strategically placed light in the room, which is rather dark and cave-like (which was a positive thing) would be nice; the labyrinthian layout would have made a simple property map helpful - or perhaps even wall signage (it wasn't til my third and last day to figure out the layout), and i heard another guest say the same; and the fact that the in-room Information about the hotel and its services was only available on the tele was somewhat annoying; i wonder if it is all that ecologically preferable to a reference book in the room. But those are small things, overall i highly recommend Cartesiano and should i return to Puebla would absolutely book it again.

Cartesiano was fantastic and a wonderful surprise. Located in the heart of the historic center of Puebla, this is a warm wellness hotel and spa in a beautiful historic building. We loved the architecture and the room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved how peaceful the whole hotel was and our comfortable suite. Our favorite part of this hotel had to be its central location. Every store, restaurant and venue that we wanted to visit was within walking distance, and we felt safe walking there during the day or night. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

It was a beautiful property. The rooms were so nice , clean and comfortable.Restaurant was great. Pool and spa were exceptional. Staff were so nice and helpful.
