La Villa des Consuls

My husband and I had a wonderful time at La Villa des Consuls! It was a great stop on our honeymoon trip in a perfect location in Sarlat. Sophie was super helpful and had wonderful recommendations for us during our visit. We stayed several nights in the Richelieu apar**ent which had everything we needed for our stay.

The Hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. Our room is very spacious. It's in the middle of the town. It is so convenient to walk and see all the attractions, restaurants and shops.

Sophie was an excellent host and contact. She was always very responsive to our emails and very helpful. The location in the heart of Sarlat makes everything walkable. We have been recommending this property to all of our friends for years and have always received nothing but thanks you’s in return!

Ideally located just off the Main Street in Sarlat . It is an old historical house sympathetically restored and renovated with a modern interior accommodating 4 guest bedrooms and 6 self catering apar**ents. There is a 2 minute walk up an incline to the security gates to gain entrance so the place feels very secure . There is no lift but a staff member helped carry our cases up the stairs to out twin bedded room which was lovely and spacious with a view of the inner courtyard . The room was lovely and clean with comfy able beds , a kitchenette area with fridge , microwave and tea making , plus a safe .Breakfast was excellent , croissants , fruit , yoghurt , with the option of an egg and toast . The only downside to staying here is the garage for parking is a 5 to 10 minute walk along the street . We arrived on market day ( Saturday ) when no cars are allowed. So we left the luggage in the car , till late in the day when the street opens to cars again . There is no parking in the street so only a drop off for luggage is allowed. I would agree with the many positive comments and recommend one to stay here .

La Villas des Consuls in fantastically located and an easy stay. The accommodation provided everything we wanted, large room, spacious bathroom and even a little sitting area. Reception and breakfast were simple and straight forward. A reliable and well-situated choice, super close to all the walking in town.

Sophie and Valentin could not have been more helpful during our stay, the property is stunning and on the doorstep for all that Sarlat has to offer. I highly recommend this property,

The staff was so kind and helpful, very clean and comfortable and cute, great location with lots of restaurants and cafes and shops are only 1 min walk. Car park is about 5min walk as it's located in an alley so it can be a bit tricky with big suitcases but the walk to the car park is easy and nice as there are many shops along the way. Highly recommended and will go back again!

Stayed in Richelieu appar**ent (1 bed) for 3 nights. Very good option so close to main street in centre. Book parking in advance if you need it.

Spacious, comfortable & clean apar**ents in centre of beautiful medieval town. Easy stroll to shops & restaurants. Friendly & helpful staff, very pleasant stay. A great base for exploring the surrounding Dordogne region. Highly recommend.
